Dear all,
This term appears in a list of basic information preceding information furnished by a Dutch district court: postvak/parketnr./zittingsdatum/volgnr./onderwerp etc.
Jurlex & Eurodicautom don't offer any help, nor does a Google search restricted linguistically to English. I DID find, however, the following definition: "Een dag of tien voor de zitting ontvangt mr X van de griffie van de rechtbank een schaduwdossier, waarvan mr X kopieën laat maken die hij aan zijn cliënten doorzendt."
Any suggestions? RSVP.

In many criminal cases where someone has turned police informer (as recently in the construction industry scandel) they have often kept a shadow file or record of dealings that do not appear in the company's books. The shadow file is evidence of the illegal activities
