I keep getting connection squares - why?

I have recently changed from a dialled line to broadband and, in spite of this, I still get the connection boxes. Surely if I have broadband they would not appear any more?

One says (translated into English):

Select the service you wish to sign up to
Connect to dial-up line
Connect - Configurations - Work Offline

If I work offline, I can surf the Net but it I want to send an e-mail, for example, I am asked to connect. "Diagnose" option does not work, and if I choose "Close" the boxes usually, but not always, go away and I can then work. Delete the dial-up connection Apr 2, 2009

Hi Paul,

You probably still have your dial-up connection available in Windows. Try deleting the dial-up connection in the Connections tab of the Internet options dialog box (You can find it in the Control Panel). By the way, most, if not all, adsl connections still require that you login with a username and password.
