Hello,
Can anyone please help me? I’m trying to identify a song I heard on the FM radio, but the only thing I could remember was the chorus part that says “way oh way oh way oh way” or something similar. I don’t know how useful this is, but I played the tune on a virtual piano and recorded it.

Maybe someone could recognize the track from the audio? It’s rock music, and the singer is a male. The artist is probably a rock band, and the song is in English.
This is driving me nuts, so thank you very much for your help.
P.S. No, it’s not “Way Away” by Yellowcard.

I didn't want to install yet another app on my smartphone, but I've tried similar web-based services. They couldn't recognize it. Even the oh-so-omnipotent AI was of no use.

Is the tempo of your recording accurate?
Is starting to drive me nuts too, I've listened to it so often

It's hard for me to pinpoint, but it sounded like an American rock band. The song is upbeat. I'm not a musician, so it's very possible that I did an incredibly poor job in replicating the tempo in my recording.
Use the [img]image_url[/img] BBCode, maybe?

Can you perhaps name a (few) particular American rock band(s) they sound like? Any idea how old the song is?
More info might help us narrow it down.
