I never start working before taking my breakfast and I always watch the news while I’m eating it (I know it’s unhealthy especially now in these difficult times).

I generally have my breakfast, read some news on the media and walk to kiosk and buy the newspaper.
I like walking, enjoy fresh air and read the news on a paper device.
I should do it every day, I actually try to do it as often as I can.
This month of October is very nice and such habit seems perfect for our freelance job.
I am finding it increasingly difficult as I pull even more of the little hair I have left out every time I read something about Britain’s ever more insane leaders. I am so pleased I live in Spain!

As I’m not a morning person, I prefer to start my day going outside for a long walk with my dog.
This allows me to really wake up!
Then, a second coffee and go to work!

...unless brewing up some coffee counts as "some other activity"
I actually used to read the news before starting to work, but quite honestly, I gave it up at some point. No need to get myself depressed before translating my first word.

I don't read the news regularly. Every time I attempt to, I come across something stupid like a spelling error or an irrelevant term used in the wrong context, which makes me lose my motivation about my job. Even if the text is technically perfect, the news is always repugnant.

I read the news and answer any personal e-mails and messages before getting down to work. I think of it as a warm-up for my brain.

The mainstream news (here it's the BBC and Sky) is all manipulated by the privileged people who decide what the news is going to be today and what you are going to think about it.

A cup of coffee (my cereal killer) and a shower give me an energetic start. In general, breakfast at 9:30/10:00.
As for the news, I leave it to my personal secretary who provides me with the latest news from around the world 😜

Coffee and chess | Oct 4, 2022 |
I drink coffee before.
Depending on the time I have, I also play chess.
Generally, a cup of coffee and a quick run on a video game. It's the best way for my gears to start grinding. The news are usually for the end of the day, because no one likes to work demoralized.
