As a child I used to holiday in France. That’s where my interest in languages started as I discovered that pronouncing beautiful and melodic sounds like "pain au chocolat" and "glace à la vanille" made it posible to order delicious food and...communicate with people from the country I liked so much.

Since then my interest in other languages and cultures has become the guiding principle of all the decisions I make. I decided to study Romance Languages at the University of Antwerp (although Belgium is close to the Netherlands I was attracted to the idea of studying in a country where everything was that little bit different) I wrote my thesis on short stories by J.M.G. Le Clézio (Nobel prize winner in 2008), a writer who knows a lot about cultural differences. Part of my studies were at a French University and when I finished studying, I decided to come and live in Spain and to get to know everything about Spanish culture….I liked it so much that now after 10 years I feel really quite knowledgeable about it.

I am a translator specialized in business/commerce (translation of company documents and webpages), tourism, marketing and HR and am also interested in education and literature. Furthermore, I’m open to all kind of subjects as I have a broad interest. The program I work with is Trados 2014 and I am open to learning other CAT tools if required.
