anesthesia scree/"ether screen"
anesthesia screen,
a metal frame on upright poles that is used to suspend a sterile barrier separating the surgical field from the anesthetist's access to the patient. Also called ether screen.
http://medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/anesthesia s...
The patient is assisted by an anesthesiologist or resident to make a specific surgical position, then sterile drapes are used to cover all of the patient's body except for the surgical site and the patient's head; the drapes are clipped to a pair of poles near the head of the bed to form an "ether screen", which separates the anesthetist/anesthesiologist's working area (unsterile) from the surgical site (sterile).

Thank you, Phil! Now you've piqued my curiosity, will try to find out why Prof. Kocher gets the credit in Spanish... :)
