Nederlands term
laadplein
Voordelen

Who can tell me the difference, if any, between a 'hub' and a 'station' ?
Here's the London electric vehicle infrastructure delivery plan
No plazas in there. :-)
A greater proportion of PHV drivers (when compared to taxi drivers) live in areas of London where only a minority of homes have off-street parking (Figure 18). The majority of private hire drivers will therefore not be able to charge their vehicle at home, so public charging provision will be required in residential areas to enable charging near home between shifts. This may be a combination of slow/fast charging on residential streets, fast/rapid charging at local facilities such as supermarkets, leisure facilities and service stations, and rapid charging stations on frequently travelled routes.
ChargePoint commits to delivering the hardware and software solutions for at least one rapid charging hub, in addition to the 5 public rapid charging stations it already operates in central London.
For rapid chargers – The proposed focus is on the development of rapid charging hubs, which we see as serving primarily high-mileage/business users who need fast and available charging. Multiple charge points in known locations serve to increase consumer confidence that they will find a reliable and available charger

UK terminology
Here is a definition from the UK.
The complete guide
With the UK’s charging infrastructure growing at a rapid rate, here’s what you need to know about charging stations
What is a charging station?
No concrete definition exists for charging stations, but in practical terms, a collection of two or more individual charging points amounts to a ‘station’. Don’t expect the full petrol-station forecourt experience, though: often a charging station will exist in the corner of a motorway services car park, or in a section of a shopping centre’s or town centre’s multi-storey.

--------------------------------------------------
Let's add a US definition as well:
1.7: “Electric vehicle charging station” means a public or private parking space that is served by battery charging station equipment that has as its primary purpose the transfer of electric energy (by conductive or inductive means) to a battery or other energy storage device in an electric vehicle. An electric vehicle charging station equipped with Level 1 or Level 2 charging equipment is permitted outright as an accessory use to any principal use.
Comment: This definition is modeled after a definition for “electric vehicle parking space” used in the City of Davis.22 The Davis definition has been modified to combine the parking and battery charging characteristics into one definition as these features are functionally related. As the electric vehicle charging station facility is not a parking facility, its interaction with accessibility provisions is different from that of a parking space (see Section 3.3).
Regarding allowed uses, Level 1 and Level 2 charging are expected to be a secondary use, not the principal use. However, Level 3 (i.e., Rapid or Fast) may be a primary use given their size and scale, as well as their potential to generate traffic and vehicle queuing, and therefore the need to mitigate the associated impacts. As such, Level 3 is to be permitted differently (see section 3.1).
The inclusion of permitted uses in the definition is meant to allow a jurisdiction to add EV charging stations categorically to existing allowed uses tables (see Section 3.1, Option 2). If a jurisdiction adds a new Allowed Uses table for the different types of Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (see Section 3.1, Option 1), inclusion of permitted uses in the definition may not be necessary.
1.9: “Electric vehicle charging station — public” means an electric vehicle charging station that is (1) publicly owned and publicly available (e.g., Park & Ride parking, public library parking lot, on-street parking) or (2) privately owned and publicly available (e.g., shopping center parking, non-reserved parking in multi-family parking lots).
Comment: This definition is provided to clarify the variety of charging stations that are anticipated to be publicly available. 1
Vehicles and Traffic. This Chapter provides model regulations for when a local jurisdiction chooses to authorize enforcement for non-electric vehicles that park in electric vehicle charging station spaces or for electric vehicles parked out of compliance with posted days and hours of charging operation. These model regulations are only for electric vehicle charging station spaces located in publicly owned and/ or operated parking areas (e.g., on-street parking, municipal garages, park-and-ride lots, etc.). Signage for enforcement is included in Chapter 4: Street, Sidewalks and Public Places.

Load balancing / Charging plaza[xi]
A charging plaza consists of several charging points that share a single connection to the electricity network. The charging plaza allocates the available capacity to the charging points based on the demand at a given time, allowing electric vehicle drivers to charge their vehicles optimally. This is referred to as “load-balancing”. Charging speed is adjusted automatically as soon as maximum capacity is reached.

Terminologische verwarring
Dus: load-balancing charging plaza/park/hub/pool.
2.3 Definitions and Abbreviations
Charging Connector
A Charging Connector is an interface to deliver electricity (a plug, a socket ….)
Charging Point
A Charging Point, synonym of EVSE, is the energy supply element. An electrical vehicle can be connected to a Charging Point on one of its connectors.
A Charging Point may have several Charging Connectors but only one vehicle could be charged at a time on a Charging Point.
Charging Pool
A Charging Pool is a location where we can find charging infrastructure elements. A Charging Pool may contain several Charging Stations.
Charging Station
A Charging Station is a physical element, visible for the users, on which we find Charging Points.
The Charging Station is also the “Human-Machine Interface” (HMI) between the charge
infrastructure and the end users.

https://oostgroen.nl/kennisbank/load-balancing/
Laadlocatie / Oplaadlocatie / Laadsite
Laadstation / Laadpaal / Oplaadpaal / Laadzuil
https://oostgroen.nl/kennisbank/laadlocatie/
Discussion
Het aantal laadpunten etc. >> The number of charging sites/locations etc.
reguliere laadpalen >> standard charging stations
laadpleinen >> charging plazas/hubs/pools (with a single grid connection)
Electric car charging stations: a complete guide
What is a charging station?
No concrete definition exists for charging stations, but in practical terms, a collection of two or more individual charging points amounts to a ‘station’. Don’t expect the full petrol-station forecourt experience, though: often a charging station will exist in the corner of a motorway services car park, or in a section of a shopping centre’s or town centre’s multi-storey.
https://www.carbuyer.co.uk/tips-and-advice/155152/electric-c...
Residential charging stations: An EV owner plugs into a standard receptacle (such as NEMA connector in the US) when he or she returns home, and the car recharges overnight. A home charging station usually has no user authentication, no separate metering, but may require wiring a dedicated circuit to have faster charging. Some portable chargers can also be wall mounted as charging stations.
Charging while parked (including public charging stations) – a private or commercial venture for a fee or free, sometimes offered in partnership with the owners of the parking lot. This charging may be slow or high speed and often encourages EV owners to recharge their cars while they take advantage of nearby facilities. It can include parking for an organization's own employees, parking at shopping malls, small centers, and public transit stations. Typically, AC Type1 / Type2 plugs are used.
Fast charging at public charging stations >40 kW, capable of delivering over 60-mile (97 km) of range in 10–30 minutes. These chargers may be at rest stops to allow for longer distance trips.
Again https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charging_station
It is about the translation of 'laadplein'.
'charging stations' have load balancing as well:
Operating a charging station requires your power source (e.g. office building) to carry the cumulative sum of the total capacity of these charging stations. Load balancing distributes the available capacity proportionally over all active charging stations. In doing so, load balancing ensures that optimal charging is provided to all-electric vehicles at your location, within the limits of your charging stations’ capacity.
