French term

diffuseur oreilles

French to English Tech/Engineering Manufacturing Labelling Machine Specifications
This is a specifications sheet for a labelling machine for packaging bottles.

Under the section "Description des articles de conditionnement, flacons et des étiquettes" under the subheading " Flacons plastique PA (Power Assembly)" there is a sentence that reads
"Le produit fini avec flacon PA est composé d’un flacon plastique + une valve (à l’intérieur) + une frette + 1 ou 2 diffuseurs ou 1 diffuseur oreilles."

I am stumped as to what "diffuseur oreilles" could be here, I can see an image of the plastic bottle and it just appears to have a flat cap on the top. I can't find anything on Google. Does anyone have any ideas? Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I've come late to this discussion, but I think I have the answer.
SafeTex May 7, 2021:
@ all Could it possibly be a typo for a refill of some sort for a "oreiller aromathérapie"?

Thank you all so much for your inputs! It is a very particular text, the company's product is marine serums (literally sterile seawater products used for natural medicinal purposes) and these bottles are the containers for the product. I had the same issue as Liz in that I could not find my phrase at all online, "oreilles" exists but I don't see it with "diffuseur" anywhere!
I think that I will go with "lug" as it seems to be the only realistic option! Thank you all again so much for your help!

"lugs" sounds like a good option.

"ears"!!
liz askew May 6, 2021:

I suppose it depends on what the bottle is to contain. I found this patent that has references to 'oreilles' (which I suppose are like 'lugs' here) on a dispenser of eg sunscreen, hair or body products, that looks suspiciously like a nasal spray. Other than that, unless it's something to clean ears then I'm stumped too!

ear diffuser/spray

Now that we know it's a seawater spray, I think it's something like this:

That would also explain why it has a valve inside it.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Yes, this could definitely be what it is referring to, although seeing as this particular sentence is a list of the components, I wouldn't use ear spray because that is most likely the whole product, not the bottle part. I am sending it to the client tomorrow, I may use ear diffuser! Or possibly even something like ear nozzle. My issue again is that the phrase is accompanied by an image and the bottle appears to just have a flat lid. Thank you for your help!"
