WF 5.52 propagate and spaces before punctuation

Hi,
I have this problem.
When I use the Propagate and Highligt function in Word, I get non-br spaces before punctuation marks (as in French spelling), which does NOT happen if I turn off the P&H function.
Could anybody help me solve this or indicate where in these fora I could find an existing answer? I swear I have been looking for days before posting this question.
