Hi!

I forgot to bookmark a web page where I found a resource that could be very useful.
It automatically replaced the words in a text from a glossary list created by the user.

Maybe you know it and can share it with me?

I won't forget to bookmark again!

Cheers!

Ma. José

not exactly but..... Dec 11, 2003

I started surfing when I saw your question as I could also use something like that. I didn't exactly find that, but I found this, which might be worth studying.

WordFisher Dec 12, 2003

You can try WordFisher - a macro set for Word that can do much more than just replace words. Try and see.

Dear Maria,
I don't think this is quite what you had in mind but FlashText (www.flashpeak.com) works very well for me. Working in Word (or whatever), you just press a hot key to call up FlashText, immediately start typing in the source word (depending on the size of your glossary the first few letters will probably suffice), quickly check the corresponding translation, press Enter and you are returned to Word (or whatever) with the translation pasted in.
It is also very easy to import glossaries into FlashText.
Give it a try.
All the best
Barnaby
