I would also suggest going with Studio

There's nothing to be ashamed of!
If you have Studio, I agree with pgj, that is a better option, so you could just save your ITD file as it is now in SDL Edit, then go to Studio and open it there, you shouldn't lose any work you have completed so far.
If you prefer working in SDL Edit, i would refer to the help files for format painting tips. I'm sorry I can't be of more help there, I haven't used SDLX in a long time, so don't remember the specifics.

Place the cursor in the desired place in the target segment and click Ctrl+comma. You'll get a drop-down list of all available tags (and placeables). Select the one you want with the arrow keys and click enter. [/quote]
Thank you, Emma! You saved me so much time!

Copying tags from source in Studio 2011

I know this is an old post, but I haven't seen anyone mention the following:

I am translating an ITD file in Studio 2011 and I applied all tags correctly (the verifier shows no issues). Then I save the translation in the original format but when I open it in SDLX it still shows that it requires format painting. Btw, applying the format paint in SDLX is working.
Has anyone come accross this issue?
