Hello, I'm going to start a new English-Arabic subtitling job with a new agency. They sent me an email telling me their rates. It was as follows: Translations at 1.50 USD per minute runtime and proofs at 0.25$ per minute runtime. I need to know first what do they mean by "proofs" and what is your opinion of these reates? are they acceptable? Thanks

subtitling "proofs" rates

Hello...
I can't tell you if the rates your agency is giving are acceptable or not, but most likely what the agency means by "proofs" is proofreading, or reading over for errors.
