I have a project in which Studio 2014 keeps crashing (stops responding) at the same segment! Any idea what can cause this or how to solve this major problem?
thank you
Harris

Skip it then go back?

Hi Harris,
I cannot tell you the cause but you can try this: skip the problem segment and go to the next one. Translate several segments, save your work then go back to the problem segment and translate it. It worked for me on several occasions, maybe it will help you too.
Best regards, Darius

Try this solution: Use the "Edit Source" function and replace this source segment with any character string, like abc123 without any tags. Fill the target segment with your translation of the original source. Make necessary formatting corrections (if any) in the final document.
Hope this helps.

not well prepared from client?

Hi Harris, perhaps the project is not well prepared from the client? Then you should go back to them. If you prepared it yourself, perhaps you can skip that segment and solve it at the end? Or you could try to find the text causing the problem in the source file, erase it, re-import, translate and then add the missing sentence in the exported final file. Have a nice day Ulrika

If the file was prepared by the client, then, the "Edit Source" option can be deactivated (the client may want to prevent from any amendment to the original).
In such case, I'd go for marking the crash-generating segment as "nontranslatable". I'd replace the content with the translations no sooner than in the final document.
