They have to have a sample of the product so that the content of the product can be checked at a later stage i.e. "what was in the drug we tested in trial XYZ?". "Ah yes, it was A+B". These 'samples' are basicaly a record of that. So I can go back and have proof that the product did in fact contain "A+B". It is not necessarily so they can "reproduce" that product.

| Thanks Liz. My problem is that I'm not highly specialised in this field and I don't understand what is meant in this context by "reconfirming product characteristics". Does it just mean that you need an adequate sample to able to "reconfirm the details of the drug's characteristics" or is it "riconfermare" in the sense of "renew" in which case it refers to the ability to "renew" or "reconstitute" the drug and its characteristics. |
