Hello! I am translating a French catalog into English and I know no Italian, but I'd like to include this footnote in English.
DOC: 1907 Museum catalog in French about ancient Egyptian mirrors in the Cairo museum.

This is the footnote:
ROSELLINI, l.l.: "Il più perfetto (specchio) che finor si conosca è quello che da me fu trovato a Teba, nella tomba della nutrice di una figlia del Faraone Tahraka (cf. vol. I, De' Mon. Civ., p. 104 e seg.). Posava presso la cassa della mummia, chiuso in una custodia, o stuccio di legno, fatto esattamente per contenerlo, ***con il coperchio che per aprirsi girasi dall'estrimità al vertice***: di legno è pure l'elegante manico; e le due facce del metallo conservansi ancora abbastanza forbite e lucide da potervisi specchiare."
ATTEMPT: "...It lay close to the mummy's casket in a wooden case, made to fit it exactly, ***with a lid that swings open sideways by means of a pivot at the base***: the elegant handle is also of wood; and the two metallic faces still retained enough polish and shine to reflect an image."
QUERY: Am I correct in my translation -- I guessed based on different author's description of this mirror.
