This is a transcript of the record concerning a divorce. The parties will not be paying any maintencance to each other. However, there is one clause:

Retten til den fælles lejebolig beliggende xxxxxxxxx tilkendes sagsøgeren med de dertilhørende rettigheder og forpligtelse.

Does this include ownership of the joint rental property or what does this 'retten til' refer to? I have searched high and low and cannot figure this one out. I have to complete this translation wihtin the next few hours (Pacific Time) - thanks for any input!

Right to Well your source term was only "ret til", so the target term became simply "right to", but I explained the rest.

According to my legal dictionary, "petitioner" is used in family law rather than "plaintiff", and https://www.wgandf-law.com/Practice-Areas/Family-Law/Divorce... says: "In a divorce case, the person who starts the court case by filing the Petition is called the "Petitioner."

the right to continue to live I would say it needs some tweaking, e.g., ..."the Plaintiff has the right to continue to live in the joint rented property" or something like that - simply 'right to' won't cut it I think.

"Ret to" doesn't seem to be your problem here. There is no ownership when it's a rented property. What this is about is when a couple shared a rented property and it has to be decided which of the two is entitled to continue living in the property, taking over the tenancy. In this case, that right is granted to the petitioner.
