Estoy traduciendo sobre un sistema de protección contra incendios y habla de una "válvula tipo teatro".
En esta página figura como "threaded globe valve", pero si comparamos los dibujos, no tiene nada que ver.

These are generic terms defining purpose (and location), not references to specific types of valve (they are usually gate valves).
"teatro" refers to the "scene of the fire", which in buildings with a wet or dry riser system is a floor (piso) of the building. "landing" refers to the floor area of each floor, immediately adjacent to the stairwell, where fire hoses are often installed.
