Many thanks to all the prozians who helped me win the English to Italian contest. Johnny Cash is one of my favourite artists ever and winning by translating one of his songs makes me feel especially proud!

Scusa Claudia ma lo devo proprio dire (non è rivolto a te in particolare). Perché nessuno dei partecipanti ha cercato di rispettare la metrica? Questa traduzione è molto precisa e va benissimo per un libro su Johnny Cash, ma nessuno potrebbe mai cantarla!

credo, Luca, che sarebbe stato molto difficile rispettare lo spirito della canzone badando anche alla metrica. in alcune lingue si è tentato, stravolgendo però il testo: ricorda anche che tra i criteri di valutazione c'era la precisione terminologica e dunque la fedeltà al testo originale. ho fatto una scelta diversa, tentando di riflettere, nelle scelte lessicali e di 'ritmo', lo spirito della canzone e la malinconia di questo particolare Cash. spero di esserci riuscita.
