For twenty-five years I worked as an engineering officer on seagoing vessels, and during my leave I worked as a writer and translator, mostly of technical texts. I resigned from the fleet in 2014 and continued my career as a translator.
I commonly work on one project at a time, and for larger projects that also involve editorial elements I prefer repeated personal contact either via email or Skype. But I'm also fine without. I translate, proofread, write or rewrite any text but I specialize in both technical manuals and texts written from a spiritual perspective. Both technical and spiritual texts are often riddled with specific jargon and I am thoroughly familiar with both fields.
