The training program is designed to expand the knowledge and competency level of a Service Technician
specializing in powertrain service.
Particular emphasis will be placed on engines and powertrains. The successful participant will perform a complete disassembly, thorough visual inspection, document all discoveries, correctly assemble the engine and continue on to additional value added activities.

TOP END COMPONENTS INSPECTION - Checking Cylinder Taper
1. Set micrometer to the standard bore diameter specification. Use over size bore diameter specification as needed.
2. Place the dial bore gauge inside the micrometer and zero the gauge.
3. Measure cylinder at the top, middle and bottom of the bore in both the X axis (thrust surfaces) and Y axis (piston pin surfaces).
4. Subtract smallest X axis number from largest X axis number to determine X axis taper.
5. Subtract smallest Y axis number from largest Y axis number to determine Y axis taper.

Motocyklový motor dokáže generovat enormní výkon, který se musí kontrolovaným zp?sobem p?enášet na kola stroje. P?evodovka motocyklu p?enáší výkon na zadní kolo pomocí ?ady sou?ástí, mezi n?ž pat?í ozubené soukolí, spojka a hnací systém.
Ozubené soukolí je skupina ozubených kol, která umož?ují jezdci se pohybovat v rozsahu od úplného zastavení až do maximální rychlosti. P?evodovky motocykl? mají b?žn? ?ty?i až šest rychlostních stup??, ale malé mopedy mohou mít i pouhé dva. Rychlostní stupn? se ?adí pákou, která pohybuje ?adicími vidlicemi uvnit? p?evodovky.
Ú?elem spojky je zapojovat energii z klikového h?ídele motoru k p?evodovce nebo ji naopak odpojovat. Bez spojky by jediným zp?sobem, jak zastavit otá?ení kol, bylo vypnutí motoru – nepraktické ?ešení u jakéhokoli typu motorového vozidla. Spojka sestává z ?ady odpružených desek, které p?i p?itla?ení k sob? spojují p?evodovku s klikovým h?ídelem. Pokud chce jezdec ?adit rychlostní stupn?, použije spojku a p?evodovku od klikového h?ídele odpojí. Jakmile za?adí nový rychlostní stupe?, použije spojku a spojení obnoví.
