A SOURCE CODE VERSION OF CERTAIN THUNDERBIRD E-MAIL FUNCTIONALITY THAT YOU MAY USE, MODIFY AND DISTRIBUTE IS AVAILABLE TO YOU FREE-OF-CHARGE FROM WWW.MOZILLA.ORG UNDER THE MOZILLA PUBLIC LICENSE and other open source software licenses.
The accompanying executable code version of Mozilla Thunderbird and related documentation (the “Product”) is made available to you under the terms of this MOZILLA THUNDERBIRD END-USER SOFTWARE LICENSE AGREEMENT (THE “AGREEMENT”). BY CLICKING THE “ACCEPT” BUTTON, OR BY INSTALLING OR USING THE MOZILLA THUNDERBIRD E-MAIL CLIENT, YOU ARE CONSENTING TO BE BOUND BY THE AGREEMENT. 1. LICENSE GRANT. The Mozilla Corporation grants you a non-exclusive license to use the executable code version of the Product. This Agreement will also govern any software upgrades provided by Mozilla that replace and/or supplement the original Product, unless such upgrades are accompanied by a separate license, in which case the terms of that license will govern.
2. TERMINATION. If you breach this Agreement your right to use the Product will terminate immediately and without notice, but all provisions of this Agreement except the License Grant (Paragraph 1) will survive termination and continue in effect. Upon termination, you must destroy all copies of the Product.
3. PROPRIETARY RIGHTS. Portions of the Product are available in source code form under the terms of the Mozilla Public License and other open source licenses (collectively, “Open Source Licenses”) at http://mozilla.org. Nothing in this Agreement will be construed to limit any rights granted under the Open Source Licenses. Subject to the foregoing, Mozilla, for itself and on behalf of its licensors, hereby reserves all intellectual property rights in the Product, except for the rights expressly granted in this Agreement. You may not remove or alter any trademark, logo, copyright or other proprietary notice in or on the Product. This license does not grant you any right to use the trademarks, service marks or logos of Mozilla or its licensors.
4. PRIVACY POLICY. You agree to the Mozilla Privacy Policy, made available online at http://www.mozilla.org/privacy-policy.html, as that policy may be changed from time to time, including a separate privacy policy for Thunderbird. When Mozilla changes the policy in a material way a notice will be posted on the website at www.mozilla.com, and when any change is made in the privacy policy, the updated policy will be posted at the above link. It is your responsibility to ensure that you understand the terms of the privacy policy, so you should periodically check the current version of the policy for changes.
5. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY. THE PRODUCT IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITH ALL FAULTS. 8. U.S. GOVERNMENT END-USERS. This Product is a “commercial item,” as that term is defined in 48 C.F.R. 2.101, consisting of “commercial computer software” and “commercial computer software documentation,” as such terms are used in 48 C.F.R. 12.212 (Sept. 1995) and 48 C.F.R. 227.7202 (June 1995). Consistent with 48 C.F.R. 12.212, 48 C.F.R. 27.405(b)(2) (June 1998) and 48 C.F.R. 227.7202, all U.S. Government End Users acquire the Product with only those rights as set forth therein.
9. MISCELLANEOUS. (a)This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between Mozilla and you concerning the subject matter hereof, and it may only be modified by a written amendment signed by an authorized executive of Mozilla. (b) Except to the extent applicable law, if any, provides otherwise, this Agreement will be governed by the laws of the state of California, U.S.A., excluding its conflict of law provisions. (c) This Agreement will not be governed by the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. (d) If any part of this Agreement is held invalid or unenforceable, that part will be construed to reflect the parties’ original intent, and the remaining portions will remain in full force and effect. (e) A waiver by either party of any term or condition of this Agreement or any breach thereof, in any one instance, will not waive such term or condition or any subsequent breach thereof. (f) Except as required by law, the controlling language of this Agreement is English. (g) You may assign your rights under this Agreement to any party that consents to, and agrees to be bound by, its terms; the Mozilla Corporation may assign its rights under this Agreement without condition. 1. SUBSIDIE VOOR DE LICENTIE. De Mozilla Maatschappij geeft u een niet-exclusieve licentie om de uitvoerbare codeversie van het Product te gebruiken. Deze Overeenkomst zal ook software-upgrades regelen, verschaft door Mozilla, die het origineel Product vervangen en/of aanvullen, behalve als er voor zulke upgrades een aparte licentie is en in welk geval de voorwaarden van die licentie zullen gelden.
2. BEEINDIGING. Als u deze Overeenkomst verbreekt, zal uw recht om het Product te gebruiken onmiddellijk eindigen en zonder vooropzeg, maar alle bepalingen van deze Overeenkomst, behalve de Subsidie voor de Licentie (Paragraaf 1), zullen blijven gelden na de beëindiging en van kracht blijven. Bij de beëindiging moet u allen kopieën van het Product vernietigen.
3. EIGENDOMSRECHTEN. Gedeelten van het Product zijn beschikbaar in broncodevorm volgens de voorwaarden van de Openbare Licentie van Mozilla en andere open-bron-licenties (gezamenlijk genaamd “Open-Bron-Licenties”) bij http://mozilla.org. Niets in deze Overeenkomst zal geconstrueerd worden om rechten die volgens de Open-Bron-Licenties verstrekt worden, te beperken. Als gevolg van het voorgaande, behoudt Mozilla, zelf en namens zijn licentiegevers alle intellectuele eigendomsrechten van het Product, behalve die rechten welke uitdrukkelijk gegeven worden in deze Overeenkomst. U mag geen handelsmerk, logo, auteursrecht of ander eigendomsbericht in of op het Product verwijderen of wijzigen. Deze licentie geeft u niet het recht om handelsmerken, dienstmerken of logo’s van Mozilla of zijn licentiegevers te gebruiken.
4. PRIVACYBELEID. U gaat akkoord met het privacybeleid van Mozilla Firefox dat u kunt zien op http://www.mozilla.org/privacy-policy.html, aangezien dat beleid van tijd tot tijd gewijzigd wordt en er een apart privacybeleid voor Thunderbird is. Wanneer Mozilla het beleid in materieel opzicht wijzigt, zult u een bericht zien op de website www.mozilla.com en waneer er maar iets verandert in het privacybeleid, zal het bijgewerkte beleid beschikbaar zijn via de bovenvermelde link. U moet ervoor zorgen dat u de voorwaarden van het privacybeleid begrijpt, dus moet u de actuele versie regelmatig controleren bekijken op veranderingen.
5. BEWIJS VAN AFSTAND OF GARANTIE. HET PRODUCT WORDT VERSCHAFT “ZOALS HET IS” MET ALLE ONVOLKOMENHEDEN. Overeenkomstig met 48 C.F.R. 12.212, 48 C.F.R. 27.405(b)(2) (juni 1998) en 48 C.F.R. 227.7202, verkrijgen alle Eindgebruikers die voor de Amerikaanse Overheid werken het Product met slechts de rechten die daarin opgenomen zijn.
9. DIVERS. (a) Deze Overeenkomst beslaat de gehele overeenkomst tussen Mozilla en u aangaande het onderwerp ervan en het kan slechts gewijzigd worden door middel van een schriftelijke verbetering die getekend is door een bevoegde leidinggevende Mozilla. (b) Behalve als de wet die van toepassing is op de inhoud, indien die er is, anders beschikt, zal deze Overeenkomst geregeld worden door de wetten van de Staat Californië, V.S.A., waarbij de bepalingen ervan die in strijd zijn met de wet ervan uitgesloten worden. (c) Deze Overeenkomst zal niet door de Conventie van de Verenigde Naties over Contracten voor de Internationale Verkoop van Goederen beheerst worden. (d) Als een deel van deze Overeenkomst niet geldig is of niet uitvoerbaar is, zal dat deel geconstrueerd worden om de originele bedoeling van de partijen weer te geven en de resterende delen zullen volledig van kracht blijven. (e) Een verklaring van afstand door iedere partij van elke voorwaarde van deze Overeenkomst of elke schending ervan, in iedere instantie, zal geen afstand doen van zo’n voorwaarde of latere schending. (f) Behalve dat het door de wet vereist is, is de taal die deze Overeenkomst regelt het Engels. Bio
I am a Sworn Translator in English/Portuguese and French. In Suriname I function as an ad hoc interpreter as well (interpreter-translator). I graduated as a Translator NL/EN/PT at the Erasmus Institute, the Department of Applied Linguistics, in Brussels/Belgium, in 1996. I am specialized in Economic/Legal/Medical/Slightly Technical and IT-related Translation. I did a real translation study in Europe and therefore also studied Dutch which is the official language in Suriname (and my mother tongue).
I obtained the Diploma French of Higher Secondary Technical Education and the Diploma French of Higher Secondary Technical Education (Specialisation Business French) at the VTI, the Institute for Adult Evening Education of the Brussels Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 1996 and 1997. French is my fourth language (D-language). In the summer of 2016 I started an online 4-year Bachelor level Translation Studies Course FR-NL/NL-FR at the Dutch LOI.
I have acquired broad working experience through a variety of interesting jobs in the several languages (not all are mentioned in my CV). I also worked part-time as a Translator Dutch, English, French, at the French Embassy in Paramaribo/Suriname, from 2007 till 2008. From 1997 till 1998 I worked for the Surinamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Embassy of Suriname/Brussels-Belgium) and then I took a sabbatical year and afterwards I started my own translation bureau Interlingua on October 1, 2000.
