Although I've only been in the translation industry for a relatively short time, I believe that my diverse professional background as well as my intercultural knowledge and appreciation for accurate work, be it translations, transcriptions or project management tasks, add great value to any project I choose to work on.

I've been working on various translation, transcription and copywriting projects since 2014, but it was mainly hobby of mine. Since 2021, I've changed direction and have made translation my main profession.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management (Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences) and a Master's degree in Translation of LSP texts (Ventspils University of Applied Sciences). Before going freelance, I worked as an customer support representative for one of the first "unicorn" companies in Latvia (supporting customers in English) and spent several years as a project coordinator in one of the world's leading translation agencies.

I'm familiar with CAT tools, and if a project is done in a tool that is new to me, it usually doesn't take too long for me to familiarise myself with it. So far I've worked with Trados Studio, MemoQ, Phrase, Accross, XTM as well as various transcription and subtitling tools.
