Source text - Croatian Prozvodnja ljudskog glasa se temelji na usklađenom radu triju skupine organa, počevši sa plućima, te abdominalnim mišićima i dijafragmom, koji imaju ulogu kompresora, što znači da potlačuju zrak u plućima. Time se stvara zračna struja koja prolazi kroz drugi važni glasovni organ, a to je grkljan, koji ima mnogo mišića i hrskavica, i u njemu su smještene glasnice. Zračna struja koja dolazi iz pluća glasnice tjera na veoma brzo međusobno primicanje i odmicanje koje je vremenski jednoliko u ciklusima. To primicanje i odmicanje presijeca struju zraka u pravilnim intervalima generirajući time ton sa određenom frekvencijom. Dakle, oscilacija glasnica dovodi do fonacije. Proizvedeni ton biva nošen zračnom strujom kroz vokalni trakt (treći važan organ). Vokalni trakt čini sav prostor od glasnica do usana. Kako su stjenke vokalnog trakta pomične, tako će se vokalni trakt ponašati kao rezonator. Znači, oblikovanjem te šupljine podesit će se frekvencija same šupljine i frekvencija titranja glasnica, što dovodi do rezonancije ili zvučanja. Pored uloge rezonatora, vokalni trakt je ujedno i artikulator. Osim što omogućava da zvuk uopće čujemo, on mu također daje i njegov specifičan oblik i boju.
Translation - English The production of the human voice is based on coordinated actions of three groups of organs, beginning with the lungs, abdominal muscles and the diaphragm who act as a compressor, meaning that they raise the air pressure in the lungs. Thereby they create an airstream which passes through the second major voice organ, the larynx, filled with muscles and cartilages, inside of which the vocal cords are located. The airstream coming from the lungs forces the vocal cords into a cycle of uniformed rapid movement toward and away from each other. This to and fro motion cuts the airstream off in equal intervals, thereby generating a pitch with a specific frequency. Thus, the oscillation of the cords leads to phonation. The generated sound is travels upward through the vocal tract (third major voice organ), carried by the airstream generated in the lungs. The vocal tract is made up from the space between the vocal cords and the lips. Given the mobility of the vocal tract walls, the tract will act as a resonator. Meaning, the shaping of the cavity will adjust the frequency of the cavity to the frequency of the vocal cords' vibration, resulting in resonance, or sound. Aside from its role as a resonator, the vocal tract also acts as the articulator. Not only does it allow us to hear the sound, but it also gives it its specific quality and timbre.

Morana Mesic is a New York City based Croatian native with expertise in performing arts, music business, music publishing and copyright laws, artist management and promotion, creative arts therapy and music education.
She attended and graduated from two different high schools in Zagreb, Croatia (focus on math and natural science, and a music high school).
She began studying journalism at the University of Zagreb in 1999, and later switched her major to physics. She earned her MFA degree in Music Culture from the Music Academy in Zagreb in 2007.
She began studying English and French at age 9, and continued until college, and adding Latin, German and Italian during her high school years. She has written lyrics in several languages for many artists.
In 2008, she moved to New York City to begin her studies at The New School, majoring in Jazz Voice, and earning her BFA degree in 2010. She completed two courses in American poetry writing while at The New School.
While actively pursuing a music career as a performing artist and an educator in NYC, she completed her certified training in sound therapy from the Sound and Music Institute, followed by another year of training as a Performance Wellness Coach (Level I and II).
Most recently, she has added real estate investment and music publishing to her skillset portfolio.
