I am an English-to-Dutch translator and subtitler, specialising in everything to do with film, tv and media, from subtitle translation and QC, to translation of metadata and even entire movie scripts.

I started working as a translator in 2014 and added subtitling to my skillset in 2017. Over the years, subtitling has really become a passion of mine, and these days, it is my main focus as a translator.

In addition to my work in audiovisual translation, I have completed a great number of translation jobs in various fields: architecture, literature, contracts, music education, a book on diabetes… In addition to translation, I am also experienced in proofreading and in linguistic work such as ontology maintenance and chatbot training.

I have studied languages at the University of Leuven and hold an MA in language and literature in both English and Latin. In addition, I have attended several summer courses at the British universities of Oxford, Reading and London, and I lived and worked for some time in Ireland as a language analyst. All this has provided me with a thorough knowledge of the English language. Before taking the step to become a full-time freelance translator, I also worked as a language teacher (English and Latin).
