Bilingual and bicultural freelance translator with more than 12 years of experience studying, working and living in Madrid. Upon completing a Master’s degree in Translating and Interpreting from the Universidad de Alcalá in 2009, I became a volunteer translator for CEAR while working full-time as an English teacher. In 2016, however, I transitioned solely to translating and now I collaborate with a variety of translating agencies and provide translation services for direct clients. As I am strongly committed to continuing professional development and providing high-quality work, I regularly take part in courses offered by eCPD — a training community which is supported by the American Translators Association (ATA) and the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIoL). In addition, I am taking a course to obtain the DipTrans Diploma. My past projects have dealt with education, human rights, corporate wellness, nutrition and beauty, and I’ve also translated fiction books and short stories for self-published authors. If your project doesn’t fit within these categories, don’t worry! Feel free to contact me and we can talk about your translation needs. I will give you my honest opinion about whether I am the right person for the job. |
