Vertaalsleutel is registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce in Utrecht since May 2009. The agency is a member of ZZP Nederland (a Dutch Association for Self-Employed People) and of various translators’ fora including Medivert and Proz.com. Furthermore, Vertaalsleutel has joined the permanent team of translators at Plan Nederland and in doing so supports this organization.

Vertaalsleutel has specialized in translations concerning medical health care, but not exclusively. MemoQ and Wordfast are used.

Vertaalsleutel is the translation agency of Karin M. Stoeten-Verbeek, who not only works as a freelance translator but also as a nurse in preoperative screening. She has ample experience in health care. Earlier she worked as a secretary at a law firm and as a secretary at an Institution for Scientic Research, in which capacity she acquired experience in text revision and lay out of e.g. research reports and dissertations.
