After finishing highschool I moved from the Netherlands to Norway, where I stayed, studied and worked for more than 30 years. I got educated as a kindergarten-teacher with language-training and philosophy for children as my specialities. Because of my interest in literature & language I combined working with children with the translating and proofreading of books, both children & youth books and novels. During the last 20 years I've translated ca 45 books, from dutch into norwegian, and from norwegian / swedish / danish into dutch. Together with two co-authors I also wrote my own nonfiction book, an introduction into the world of philosophy in the kindergarten. The publishing houses I work for are both big & well-known and small & 'tough'. As you see, first of all I'm working with fiction, with 'good books'. But! Because I both speak and write fluently norwegian & dutch, I'm also able to translate other kind of texts. Contact me and try me!
