Burada "saviour error", acaba hangi anlama geliyor? Herhalde "kurtarıcı hata" değildir.

doğrudan "fuse" anlamındaki "sigorta" değil söz ettiğim konu; o nitelikteki koruyucu ara/tampon bir koruyucu düzenek olarak ve anlaşılabilmesi için o vurgulamayı yaptım... Teşekkürler!..

I've done extensive research trying to find a definition of your term, but have come up empty. In my opinion there is no such thing as "saviour error" in English in this technical context. It looks to me like a term used by someone who is not a native speaker of English. Maybe it's a translation from another language. Maybe you could enlighten us with more background information about your text.

Hi Kim, Thanks for the interest and usefull comment. Unfortunately I do not have sufficient background information about this term and there is no much context available in the source text. Well, it is a very big US company which also produces in Germany. But, you may be right, the term has been used by someone who is not a native speaker of English, and most probably a German (location: Germany). Because we get sometime texts from them, they do not sound original. In that text it is about the errors & codes, what they indicate, and what to do with them. My colleague Educulus must be right in his answer/comment that it is a part/mechanism which functions like a kind of fuse and saves the whole system from certain dead. :) That's why "saviour error", or "saving/protecting error". From the text: ... <b>Any saviour error/Motor short/not rotating </b> --> it can be: (the hitch) motor has a short -> fuse/mechanism (saviour) blows and protects the whole (hitch) system. ... BTW, I have never met such term like "erlösender Fehler" in German, despite of so called business informatics study/MBA in Germany (Wirtschaftsinformatik). Ciao, Rasim
