Denominazione di una convenzione divenuta di uso generale, in base alla quale l'impresa di salvataggio si obbliga di fare tutti gli sforzi possibili per salvare la nave e il carico, provvedendo a suo proprio rischio quanto occorre alle relative operazioni a avendo diritto alla retribuzione stabilita nel solo caso di utile risultato dei suoi servigi. Se l'esito del salvataggio è solo parzialmente favorevole, e non è imputabile all'impresa alcuna negligenza o mancanza di ordinaria utilità, è dovuto un ragionevole compenso, non superiore a una determinata percentuale delle cose salvate"

La scoperta che ho fatto è che in realtà il "no cure no pay" non è un termine inglese, bensì olandese (basta infatti che lo cerchi su google e ti compaiono una marea di siti olandesi). Corrisponde all'inglese 'no win, no fee'. E come confermato dalla terminologia IATE (però non so se hai la password per accedervi) in termini economici e finanziari la traduzione italiana di questo concetto è: NESSUN PAGAMENTO SENZA BUONI RISULTATI oppure NESSUN PAGAMENTO SE NON VI E' SUCCESSO.
