I think the app author pretty much made this term up, so you have a couple of options. You could use the straight-from-katakana "SlideGuide" to show that the feature is special and innovative. You'll want to let the author know that there is another app with "SLIDE GUIDE" in the name, but I doubt this would be a problem. Another route to go would be to simply describe the function - sliding input method, input via slider, etc. I think I'd probably avoid "slide-guide", though, because in lower case it sounds like a common function name and nothing specific to this application.
