Italian term

la coppia che la bobina oppone allo svolgimento

Italian to English Other Paper / Paper Manufacturing packaging & labels
In a text about a label applicator:

"Il gruppo frizione ha la funzione di mantenere costante la coppia che la bobina oppone allo svolgimento"

I understand what this means and have even seen the applicator in question but am totally lacking in ideas of how to express this in a comprehensible manner for technicians.
Coppia in this case is torque/resistance and the bobina (reel) holds tape which is cut into labels, after passing around a series of rollers which are all part of the 'gruppo frizione'.

Thanks for any help!

to buck = To oppose directly and stubbornly; go against (freedictionary.com)
Opporsi (agire in opposizione) = to buck (Marolli)
You can even say * The torque that the reel opposes to unwinding*, maybe could be more intuitable.
Note from asker:
Hi Maori ... what if I say 'the torque to unwinding created by the reel' ? I don't think many people would understand buckes - I've never heard of it myself.
Something went wrong...
