In a Gutachten (Appraisl/Evaluation) by a firm of surveyors, I have a whole host of exotic terms. The glossary has yielded excellent expositions of most of them, but I still have a problem with this abbreviation.
It may well be an abbreviation of Erbbaurecht, which I have as "building lease". My two-part question is:
1) can anyone confirm/correct this expansion?
2) can anyone suggest what I should put in the translation atthis point?
Here is the relevant extract from the document, except I changed names and numbers, and I don´t know how the format will come out here - "Ebr" is in fact immediately below "56789" and "23456":
Grundbuch/Erbbaugrundbuch / Wohnungseingentumsgrundbuch von Ort1
Amtsgericht Ort2 Band Blatt
Gemarkung Ort2 Flur 1 Flurstück 2/3; 4/5; 6/7;
1234; 56789; 23456;
Ebr Ebr
Katasteramt Stade
Grundstücksgröße in m² 12.345,00

I think your right, Ebr. is Erbbaurecht. I also found "site holding rights", but mostly in texts about German law.
4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer.
Comment: "Thanks, Wiebke. I put in "Leased", it was all there was space for. The leasing is fully described elsewhere in the document.
And thanks for the ref. Darien. I hope not to need it again, this thing was a nightmare, but I suppose I will. ;-|
And thanks to ingot, too."
