"Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the said XY by way of a Petition Warrant granted by the Sheriff at Glasgow..."
Got an idea about this one, but would like to have it confirmed.

Discussion

Rad Graban (X) (asker) Sep 27, 2008:
That's what is bugging me. It is "Petition Warrant". The only thing I can think of at the moment is " Trestne konanie bolo zahájené proti XY vydaním príkazu na vzatie do väzby...." but I'm not 100% happy about it.
Maria Chmelarova Sep 27, 2008:
Rad, Q. - Petition Warrant or Petition for Warrant?

súdny príkaz hlavného sudcu (grófstva)

text z odkazu s vysvetlením významu "petition" -A "petition" is pretty serious - petition usually means Sheriff and Jury trial or High Court trial....

na základe textu (ghranted by Sheriff at ...) ide teda o hlavného sudcu grófstva pri Glasgow Sheriff Court; pokiaľ by nebolo uvedené "granted by Sferiff", išlo by

"súdny príkaz hlavného sudcu grófstva a poroty"
