Discussion

Slavomir BELIS Jul 28, 2009:
Stuart, just as a matter of interest, “ohlasky” are used in advance of a civil marriage ceremony too in the UK. "After the Superintendent Registrar has established that he can take notice of marriage, it is entered into a marriage notice book and a statutory form is displayed on a public notice board for 15 clear days. (This is the equivalent period that banns are published in the Church of England). The reason for this is to allow anyone who has any objection to the marriage to register his objection."
Igor Liba Jul 27, 2009:
book -> evidencia (t.j. vedenie záznamov) Čo tak použiť namiesto slovíčka "kniha" slovíčko "evidencia" a dopracujeme sa k tomu čo asi hľadáme "Evidencia žiadostí o uzavretie manželstva"
Stuart Hoskins Jul 27, 2009:
I agree with Slavomir - the record is entered in the "marriage book" after the event: "Po uzavretí manželstva vystaví matrika sobášny list a vykoná zápis do knihy manželstiev." I think "kniha žiadostí..." is inaccurate too - it's not a request, it's an announcement. But I haven't found anything similar to "[civil] marriage notice" in past or present Slovakia, either.
Igor Liba Jul 25, 2009:
Vyvesia ohlášku a potom niekto nahlási nejakú právnu prekážku a sobáš sa neuskutoční???????????????? To by si asi napríklad odvrhnutí milenci a odvrhnuté milenky zgustli (len na pobavenie).
Slavomir BELIS Jul 25, 2009:
Možno to niekto pozná lepšie?

kniha ohlásených sobášov

Tip vychádzajúci z toho, ako to je v Spojenom kráľovstve.

Marriage Notice Book
5. The prescribed particulars, in relation to a person to be taken from each marriage notice received by the registrar, shall be that person's -
(a) surname and name;

(b) address;

(c) marital status;

(d) date of birth; and

(e) date of intended marriage.

3. After the Superintendent Registrar has established that he can take notice of marriage, it is entered into a marriage notice book and a statutory form is displayed on a public notice board for 15 clear days. (This is the equivalent period that banns are published in the Church of England). The reason for this is to allow anyone who has any objection to the marriage to register his objection.

4. A certificate of marriage is then issued (Not a Marriage Certificate which is issued after the wedding) and held at register office until the day of marriage. If notice of marriage is given in two districts, then one should be collected by the couple as it will have to be produced before the ceremony can go ahead.

5. The marriage has to take place after 15 days and within one year of Notice of marriage having been given. If the marriage is postponed beyond the one year fresh notice will have to be given. (e.g. if notice is given on 1 July the marriage may take place on or after the 16 July)

kniha ohlášok snúbencov

I’m afraid this is just a translation of the historical Czech term (kniha ohlášek snoubenců). Arguably “ohlasky” can be used only in advance of a religious ceremony (as opposed to the “marriage notice”, which may pertain to either a civil or church wedding). Perhaps you could use a literal translation – “kniha oznámení zámeru uzavrieť manželstvo”??!

kniha manželstiev

http://www-8.mensiny.vlada.gov.sk/data/files/422.doc

niektoré preklady uvádzajú aj termín "matričná kniha žiadostí o sobáš"

http://webslovnik.zoznam.sk/index.fcgi?dir=yes&utf_lang=i0&m... matričná žiadostí o sobáše

ale v súlade so znením zákona by som použil výraz "kiha maželstiev"

podľa zákona 892 z roku 1944 o uzatvorení manželskej zmluvy a o odpustení prekážok manželstva

§ 10 štátni matrikári vedú o ohláškach a o sobášoch knihu ohlášok a knihu sobášov a vydávajú z nich na požiadanie úradné svedectvá
