Spanish term
pasa-barras
Spanish to English
Marketing
Furniture / Household Appliances
Curtains
From Spanish from Spain for translation to British English. Relating to types of curtain tape. This appears to be a type of tape through which you thread the broad tape backwards and forwards so that it supports the curtains:
"También ofrece una cinta armadora pasa-barras, para usar directamente con barras de cortina tradicional y dar un efecto ondulado."
Looking for images on Google for ""cinta pasabarras" shows examples, but what would be a suitable equivalent in English

Some US sites/sellers call it serpentine tape but I can't find this mentioned on British English sites.

I forgot to change the source term from 'pasa-barras' to 'cinta pasa-barras'. You can't really parse the sentence and translate 'pasa-barras' on its own here without including the 'cinta' part as translating the two parts separately (and literally) wouldn't make sense and would give you the wrong term.

Thanks Muriel - yes it is a curtain header tape but this type uses the pole to make the curtain hang in 'waves' whereas pleat tape uses gathers in the tape itself (at least that's what pleat tape is here in the UK - it may be different in the USA though)
