Trainings on translation oriented language technologies in Europe started.
This one day workshop will be held on January 31st in Speyer, Germany. The workshop will be given by Hüseyin Mergan. The content is shaped in line with recent requirements of the translation industry for basic level users. Thus the aim is to introduce translation technologies. During morning session, basic translation tools and some supplementary tools such as conversion tools and text mining tools will be introduced while in afternoon session the participants will be provided with hands-on practices on the technologies introduced in morning session under supervision of the trainer. At the end of day, participants are planned to adopt those basic skills to meet demand by the industry. This one day workshop is open to all academics, students and translation professionals who want to get basic skills in their profession. About the trainer:

Huseyin Mergan
Graduated from Boğaziçi University Department of Translation and Interpreting Studies, Huseyin Mergan had worked as a student assistant in courses for localization and language technologies. He has been working as language specialist, language technologies specialist and trainer in the industry of localization and publishing.
