If it's a simple email with PO and files to translate/proofread maybe twice.
On the other hand, if the email contains complicated instructions I might read it several times.

I always write important mails on Word (spell check is always on) and then I read once or twice at least before sending them...

While I don't care much about my posts at ProZ and personal emails, in business I prefer a Draft-Revision1-Revision2-...-Approval-Final Revision-Go ahead approach.
Not long ago I noticed one of my direct clients restructuring a draft offer according to the Minto pyramid principle, which I used long ago (as a first-year student), but forgot.
