I actually use two equally: | Oct 31, 2010 |
Firefox and Safari . . . but as I could vote for only one, I chose Firefox... simply because it was first on the list. I like them both equally; some sites work best on one or the other. I work on an iMac, using OS 10.6.4 and always have both browsers open, along with Word and iTunes, and more.

This works best for me along with Google chrome. Even though I don't necessarily appreciate the "unsolicited" updates of the Firefox browser without having a vote in it, it's still one of the most reliable ones available.

I mainly use Firefox, but recently I had problems attending online meetings with my Mac on Firefox. Downloading Camino solved that problem.
but there are some sites that are optimized for Exploder, so I have that on my laptop as well.

Tried 'em all, chose Firefox | Oct 31, 2010 |
I started using Opera in 2000, at version 3.62, when Safari and Chrome weren't even conceived, and Mozilla's product was still called Netscape... To me, Opera remained a wonderful lightweight browser for years until about version 9, when it started to display more and more sites incorrectly (at least among those I visited). So, I decided to find the best solution empirically and installed every browser I could get ahold of. After a few months, I switched to Firefox and never really looked back. ... The main reason is simple: Safari and Chrome are pretty good browsers, but they are utterly uncustomizable. They also support far fewer hotkeys than Firefox and Opera. In Firefox, among other customizations, I can easily remove user interface elements I never use, thus saving the precious screen real estate. I have just one bar at the top of the Firefox window: File View History Bookmarks Tools Help [_address_] [_search_] ▲ Collapse

Marlene Blanshay wrote: but there are some sites that are optimized for Exploder, so I have that on my laptop as well. you can use the IE tab, works perfectly on Firefox. (Google it and download it from the Mozilla addons site) I believe that Chrome might win the race on the long run. Yet Firefox is simply No.1 today, I believe.
Chrome mainly | Oct 31, 2010 |
But then when some sites don't work with Chrome I use Firefox. Can't stand using Internet Explorer any longer - it crashes all the time!

I use FF. This is what I like - the Adblocker plugin, tired of the annoying ads. Personas are fine, too. But Firefox doesn't work on some Russian car forums I go to, so Explorer does it for me.
