Off topic: Want to know diesel prices in Spain and Belgium

Hi to all,
I would like to ask you for prices of diesel in Spain and Belgium, because I am planning to go by car to Germany and these infos would help me to plan my journey better.

Diesel in Belgium Jul 26, 2004

Diesel in Belgium is about half price of what it is over here in England. My husband is a lorry driver, and each weekend most of the drivers go over to Belgium (as France is more expensive than Belgium) to fill up all the lorries for the week. It is very interesting for his boss.
Spain, I haven't been in years, but I know 3 years ago, it was much cheaper than the UK as well!

I should have mentioned that I live in Portugal and a *real price* like diesel costs 90 cents in Belgium or something would help

Hi Natália,

The price of diesel in Belgium is about EUR 0,80/l. You'll find gas stations where you pay EUR 0,78 and others where you pay up to EUR 0,85.

Hi all!!

Here in Spain, diesel is sold at 0.75 E per litre approx., it can vary 2-3 cents depending on the gas station.

I've seen the web page moya provided and I wonder why in USA it's so cheap!!! Does anyone know the reason?? Just wondering.

of course I can only compare with France, but the reason is
simple: in France 80% of "prix à la pompe" i.e. what you pay
at the pumps, is taxes. In the US, 1/3. For that reason, a
rise in the price per barrel will be felt in the US, not in
France.
