What I wonder about
Dec 9, 2018
usually when one works for anything Canadian of that nature, there is often a requirement for Canadian certification (OTIAQ, ATIO, etc.). Is this an element in any way? As a Canadian translator, that is the first thing that popped into my head. I don't know if it's pertinent.

Not Always a Requirement
Dec 18, 2018
Hello Maxi,
Thanks for your comment. You do not have to be CTTIC-certified to translate Canadian documents, or translate in Canada. Different Canadian institutions have different requirements. That being said, yes, often the federal or provincial governments may prefer or require certification.
