Anyone else going to this event? I'll be there, and I'd love to meet any fellow Prozians. Anyone attend in previous years and have advice or comments?

I was getting excited about this Phil but I see it is sold out. There is a Waiting List.

The event is included in the 'Notes and Letters' (5-8 October) festival at Kings Place. Some of the other events might be of interest to translators as well:

I've been to two or three of these in the past and will be attending this year as well. Dunno what sort of 'advice' I can give, other than: go and listen to the talks. I find events like this very motivating and always return to my desk with renewed energy and enthusiasm.

The organisers have moved it to a larger venue this year because it was oversubscribed in the past. Amazing that this one's already sold out, too.

On a related note, there are still tickets available to hear the distinguished translator Anthea Bell speaking at the LRB Bookshop this Friday:
