Hi there! My name’s Dot and I’m a British English translator and subtitler based in Manchester, UK.
🎬 I create English subtitles, subtitle templates, and subtitles for deaf and hard-of-hearing people for German, Dutch, and English movies, TV shows, and other audiovisual content. I also do English subtitle proofing.
🎓 I’ve been freelancing since 2019 and have a Master’s in Translation studies as well as a Bachelor’s in German with Dutch.
🎙 I also host my own podcast called Meet the Translator in which I chat with a different colleague each episode about a topic relating to translation.
