I specialised in European law (LL.M. equivalent) and I graduated from my BA in translation Spanish to Dutch, Dutch to Spanish (main combinations) and English and French to Dutch. I also did basic courses in Portuguese and Italian.
In the course of the latter degree, I did a work-placement with one of the agencies preferred by the European Commission for translation into Dutch. In this period I accumulated much experience in translating EU documents, ranging from general memoranda and informative texts on divorce-related matters to financing proposals and decisions regarding alleged state aids from Spanish, French and Portuguese into Dutch.
I was involved in translations for the Dutch EU Presidency from English into Dutch (www.eu2004.nl) and concentrated on European Union translations ever since.

Being a law-graduate with a specialisation in EU law at Master's degree level, I can combine in depth factual knowledge on EU matters while not ignoring major areas of Dutch criminal, administrative and civil law on the one hand and professional language and translation skills on the other, giving you a good quality translation, both on content and style. In addition, I had been taught all European law courses in English and spent a semester at the University of Sheffield, so that I am very comfortable with English legal terminology.
Finally I received specific translation training at MA level from Spanish, English and French into Dutch and from Dutch into Spanish.
