Brontekst - Engels Manual transmission models: depress the clutch pedal and move the shift lever to the N (Neutral) position.X-Tronic transmission models: depress the brake pedal and move the shift lever to the P (Park) or N (Neutral) position.
Push the push button ignition switch to stop the engine.
The ignition switch will now be in the OFF position.
After opening the door, the ignition switch position will change from the OFF to the LOCK position and the steering lock will be activated.
Auto Accessory
To improve convenience, the ignition switch no longer has a separate “Acc” (Accessory) position.
Audio and Navigation systems can be switched on without having to insert the key or to push the start button.
After switching off the engine, you can also continue to listen to audio.
The system will switch off automatically after a short time to save the vehicle battery.
To continue listening to audio for a longer period of time, switch the ignition ON and OFF again.
Headlamps and Wipers
Auto Light System
Turn the light switch to the AUTO position.
The headlamps will turn on and off automatically depending on the exterior light conditions.
Auto High-Low Beam Switching
When the Auto High-Low beam system is enabled, the headlamps will automatically switch between high and low beam depending on traffic conditions and street lighting.
To enable the Auto High-Low beam system, push the stalk away from you while the light switch is in the AUTO position.
The Auto High-Low beam indicator light in the combimeter will illuminate to show that the system is enabled.
To return to manual high beam control, turn the light switch to the position.
Friendly Lighting
With the ignition in the LOCK position, pull the light stalk towards you once; the headlamps will come on for approx. 30 seconds and then switch off automatically.
Pull the stalk more than once to increase the time that the headlamps will stay on.
Welcome Lighting
Welcome lighting can be set ON or OFF through the [Settings] menu in the vehicle information display.
When set to ON, front and rear interior lamps will come on for 30 seconds after unlocking.
They will also stay on for 10 seconds after locking.
Auto Wipe System
Set the windscreen wiper stalk to the AUTO position; the wipers will now automatically start operating when rain is detected on the windscreen.
Adjust the sensitivity of the rain sensing system by rotating the wiper switch ring as indicated:
= more sensitive,
= less sensitive.
Electric Parking Brake
The electric parking brake switch is located at the front of the centre console as illustrated.
To apply the parking brake, pull up the switch; the indicator light in the switch will illuminate.
To release the parking brake, push the brake pedal, then push the parking brake switch down; the indicator light will turn off.
The electric parking brake has an auto apply and release function.
Manual Transmission Vehicles:
The parking brake will automatically apply when you switch the ignition off and will automatically release when you drive away using the accelerator pedal.
X-Tronic Transmission Vehicles:
The parking brake does not apply automatically.
If applied manually, the parking brake will automatically release when you push the accelerator pedal while the selector lever is either in the “D” or “R” position and provided that you are wearing your seat belt.
Hill Start Assist
The Hill Start Assist (HSA) system automatically keeps the brakes applied for 2 seconds to prevent the vehicle from rolling as you start to drive away on a hill.
Hill Start Assist will operate automatically under the following conditions:
The shift lever is shifted into a forward (vehicle facing uphill) or reverse gear (vehicle facing downhill),
The vehicle is stopped completely on a hill by applying the foot brake.
The slope is greater than 3 degrees
If the slope is steep enough to activate the HSA system, the green HSA indicator light in the combimeter will illuminate.
Steering Wheel Controls
Audio & Menu Control Switches
Back Press to return to a previous screen on the vehicle information display.
ENTER Push the switch upwards or downwards to scroll through menus and lists on the vehicle information display.
Press the switch to confirm or enter a selection.
In Audio mode, use the button to change the audio input source.
In trip computer mode, use the button to scroll through trip computer (trip and fuel economy) data.
Seek-Track Tuner mode - to seek previous/next broadcasting station (short press is manual seek, long press is automatic search).
MEDIA/AUX mode - Shortly press the button to return to previous track or skip current track on CD or other device connected via the auxiliary inputs.
Press longer than 1.5 seconds to fast forward or reverse through the track being played.
Volume /- Push to increase/decrease the audio volume.
Vehicle Information Display
The Vehicle Information Display is located centrally between the tachometer and speedometer.
The display provides a lot of useful information and also allows you to customise your vehicle settings, using switches and on the left hand side of the steering wheel.
The vehicle information display can provide following information:
In the top display (Section A);
Clock – 12h or 24h format
Traffic Sign Recognition (where fitted, )
Outside Air Temperature
In the 2nd top display (Section B);

Vehicle Settings Menu
To access the settings menu, scroll through to the [Settings] page using switch , then press the switch to access the [Settings] menu.
Push switch up or down to scroll through the menu and press to select the desired item from the menu.
Use the switch as well to select/deselect a highlighted function in the sub-menu’s.
To leave the menu, repeatedly press the button .

Brightness Control/Trip Reset Switch
Push the — or side of the brightness control switch to change the brightness of the vehicle information display.
Shortly push the TRIP RESET switch to switch between the twin trip odometer display for Trip A and Trip B.
Push the switch for approximately 1 second to reset the Trip A or Trip B odometer.
Climate Control
Manual Air Conditioner
Defrosting/Demisting the windscreen
For maximum demisting performance, push the windshield windscreen demisting switch .
The indicator light in the switch will illuminate.
The air conditioner will automatically turn on when the ambient temperature is above -2° C and the indicator light in the A/C switch will illuminate.
Turn the fan speed control dial clockwise to a high fan speed position.
Turn the temperature control dial to a high temperature position.
Make sure the air intake mode switch is switched to outside air circulation.
The indicator light in the air recirculation switch should be off.
To return to the previous settings, press the winschield defogger switch again.
Automatic Air conditioner
Defrosting/Demisting the windscreen (AUTO mode)
Push the AUTO dial to select AUTO mode: the indicator light in the dial will illuminate.
For maximum demisting performance, push the windshield windscreen demisting switch .
The indicator light in the switch will illuminate.
The air conditioner will automatically turn on when the ambient temperature is above -2° C and the indicator light in the A/C switch will illuminate.
The air recirculation mode will automatically switch to outside air being drawn into the interior.
The indicator light in the air recirculation button will be off.
Turn the temperature control dial to a high temperature position.
For quick defrosting/windscreen demisting press the heated windscreen button .
The indicator light in the switch will illuminate.
It will turn off automatically after approximately 4 minutes.
DUAL Mode
DUAL mode enables the passenger to select a different temperature from the temperature selected by the driver.
Press the dial to select DUAL mode, turn the control dial to set the individual temperature.
Airflow outlets can be individually selected to direct the flow of air to the exact location of your choice.
Push one of the buttons (6) to select the desired airflow outlet (the indicator light will illuminate).
Push again to turn off airflow to this area (indicator light will turn off).
Any combination of the 3 airflow directions can be selected as desired.
Audio System (Without Navigation)
Press to switch unit ON/OFF, turn to adjust volume.
Press to switch off the display while selected functions remain active.
Press to select radio band (AM/FM).
Press to switch between day/night illumination of display.
Press to eject a CD.
Press to switch between media sources (Tuner, CD, devices connected via auxiliary inputs (USB, JACK).
Press to enter telephone menu.
Turn to manually tune into a broadcasting station or step through a menu.
Press to enter a selection within a menu.
Press to activate Traffic Announcement function.
Press to select next/previous broadcasting station or return to previous track/skip current track on a CD or other medium connected.
Press to enter the setup menu.
Press to return to the previous screen in the menu.
Station preset buttons 1-6, REPEAT tracks, MIX tracks and input characters.

Combined Audio and Navigation System (“Nissan Connect”)
Touch screen display.
Press to switch the unit ON/OFF, turn to adjust the volume.
Press to display the rear/around view monitor.
Press to select next/previous broadcasting station or return to previous track/skip current track on a CD or other medium connected.
Press to switch between media sources (CD and devices connected via auxiliary inputs (JACK, AUX).
Press to access telephone menu.
Press to switch between radio bands (FM1, FM2, DAB (Digital Audio Broadcast), and AM).
Press to eject a CD.
SD card slot (for navigation maps).
Press to display the map on the screen.

Connecting your Mobile Phone via Bluetooth®
Using Bluetooth® technology, you can connect (“pair”) your mobile phone with the vehicle for hands-free use of your mobile phone.
Note: for detailed information on Bluetooth, I-Pod / USB connectivity, refer to your vehicle Owner's Manual or your Nissan Connect Owner's Manual.
Pairing Procedure (models without Navigation System)
On the audio unit:
Press the “Telephone” button on the audio unit or steering wheel, select [Bluetooth] and press ENTER.
Select [Pair Device] and press ENTER.
On your mobile phone:
Make sure Bluetooth® is switched on.
Have your mobile phone search for Bluetooth® devices.
When your mobile phone recognises the vehicle system, you will be requested either to:- enter the PIN code (0000)- enter a password as shown on the display.
After entering the PIN code or password, the pairing procedure is complete.
The unit will automatically connect to your mobile phone the next time you turn on the ignition.
Pairing Procedure (models with “NISSAN CONNECT” System)
Vertaling - Nederlands Modellen met handgeschakelde versnellingsbak: trap het koppelingspedaal in en verplaats de versnellingshendel naar de stand N (Neutraal).Modellen met X-Tronic transmissie: trap het rempedaal in en verplaats de versnellingshendel naar de stand P (Parkeren) of N (Neutraal).
Duw op de contactdrukknop om de motor stop te zetten.
Het contactslot staat nu in de stand OFF.
Na het openen van het portier verandert de stand van het contactslot van OFF naar LOCK en wordt het stuurslot geactiveerd.
Automatische accessoirestand
Voor meer bedieningsgemak heeft het contactslot niet langer een aparte “Acc” (Accessoire) stand.
Audio- en navigatiesystemen kunnen worden ingeschakeld zonder de sleutel te hoeven insteken of de startknop in te drukken.
Ook na het stopzetten van de motor kunt u naar audio blijven luisteren.
Na een korte tijd wordt het systeem automatisch uitgeschakeld om de accu te sparen.
Om gedurende langere tijd naar audio te kunnen blijven luisteren, het contact op ON en weer op OFF zetten.
Koplampen en ruitenwissers
Automatisch verlichtingssysteem
Draai de verlichtingsschakelaar naar de stand AUTO.
De koplampen zullen automatisch aan en uit gaan afhankelijk van de verlichtingstoestand van de omgeving.
Automatische overschakeling grootlicht-dimlicht
Wanneer het systeem van automatisch grootlicht-dimlicht is geactiveerd, schakelen de koplampen automatisch over tussen grootlicht en dimlicht, afhankelijk van de verkeerssituatie en de wegverlichting.
Duw voor het activeren van het systeem van automatisch grootlicht-dimlicht de hendel van u af terwijl de verlichtingsschakelaar in de stand AUTO staat.
Het automatisch grootlicht-dimlicht controlelampje in de combinatiemeter gaat branden om aan te geven dat het systeem geactiveerd is.
Draai om terug te keren naar handmatige grootlichtbediening de verlichtingsschakelaar naar de stand .
Friendly Lighting (bijlichtfunctie)
Trek terwijl het contactslot in de stand LOCK staat de verlichtingshendel eenmaal naar u toe; de koplampen gaan gedurende ongeveer 30 seconden branden en worden dan automatisch uitgeschakeld.
Trek meerdere malen aan de hendel om de koplampen langer te laten branden.
Instapverlichting
De instapverlichting kan via het menu [Instellingen] in het voertuiginformatiedisplay op AAN of UIT ingesteld worden.
Wanneer AAN is ingesteld, zullen de voorste en achterste interieurlampen na ontgrendeling gedurende 30 seconden gaan branden.
Deze zullen ook na vergrendeling gedurende 10 seconden blijven branden.
Automatische ruitenwissers
Zet de voorruitenwisserhendel in de stand AUTO; wanneer regen op de voorruit wordt bespeurd, zullen de ruitenwissers automatisch beginnen te werken.
Stel de gevoeligheid van de regensensor in door aan de ring van de ruitenwisserschakelaar te draaien, zoals aangegeven:
= hogere gevoeligheid,
= lagere gevoeligheid.
Elektrische parkeerrem
De elektrische parkeerremschakelaar bevindt zich aan voorzijde van de middenconsole zoals afgebeeld.
Voor het aantrekken van de parkeerrem, de schakelaar omhoog trekken; het controlelampje in de schakelaar gaat branden.
Voor het vrijzetten van de parkeerrem, het rempedaal indrukken en vervolgens de parkeerremschakelaar omlaag duwen; het controlelampje gaat uit.
De elektrische parkeerrem heeft een automatische aantrek- en vrijzetfunctie.
Voertuigen met handgeschakelde versnellingsbak:
De parkeerrem wordt automatisch aangetrokken wanneer u het contact uitschakelt en wordt automatisch vrijgezet wanneer u wegrijdt met gebruik van het gaspedaal.
Voertuigen met X-Tronic transmissie:
De parkeerrem wordt niet automatisch aangetrokken.
Als de parkeerrem handmatig is aangetrokken, wordt deze automatisch vrijgezet wanneer u het gaspedaal intrapt terwijl de keuzehendel in de stand "D" of "R" staat en mits u uw veiligheidsgordel draagt.
Hellingstarthulp
Het Hellingstarthulpsysteem (HSA) houdt de remmen gedurende 2 seconden aangetrokken om te voorkomen dat het voertuig gaat rollen wanneer u op een helling begint weg te rijden.
De Hellingstarthulp werkt automatisch onder de volgende omstandigheden:
De versnellingshendel in een vooruitversnelling (voertuig hellingopwaarts gericht) of achteruitversnelling (voertuig hellingafwaarts gericht) wordt gezet,
De auto met behulp van de voetrem op een helling volledig wordt stopgezet.
De helling steiler is dan 3 graden
Als de helling steil genoeg is om het HSA-systeem te activeren, gaat het groene HSA-controlelampje in de combinatiemeter branden.
Bedieningen op het stuurwiel
Audio- en menubedieningsschakelaars
Back Indrukken om terug te gaan naar een vorig scherm op het voertuiginformatiedisplay.
ENTER Duw de schakelaar omhoog of omlaag om door de menu's en lijsten op het voertuiginformatiedisplay te bladeren.
Druk op de schakelaar voor het bevestigen of invoeren van een selectie.
Gebruik in de audiomodus de -knop voor het veranderen van de audioingangsbron.
Gebruik in de boordcomputermodus de -knop om door de boordcomputergegevens (rit en brandstofverbruik) te bladeren.
Seek-Track Tuner modus - voor het opzoeken van de vorige/volgende radiozender (kort indrukken is handmatig zoeken, lang indrukken is automatisch zoeken).
MEDIA/AUX-modus - Druk de knop kort in om terug te keren naar het vorige track of voor het overslaan van het huidige track op de CD of ander apparaat dat aangesloten is op de hulpingangen.
Houd langer dan 1,5 seconde ingedrukt om snelvooruit te spoelen of het track dat wordt afgespeeld terug te spoelen.
Volume /- Indrukken om het audiovolume te verhogen of te verlagen.
Voertuiginformatiedisplay
Het voertuiginformatiedisplay bevindt zich in het midden tussen de toerenteller en de snelheidsmeter.
Het display geeft veel nuttige informatie en u kunt de instellingen van uw voertuig naar voorkeur wijzigen met behulp van de schakelaars en op de linkerzijde van het stuurwiel.
Het voertuiginformatiedisplay kan de volgende informatie geven:
In het bovenste display (Gedeelte A);
Klok – 12u of 24u formaat
Verkeerstekenherkenning (indien aanwezig, )
Buitentemperatuur
In de 2de display van boven (Gedeelte B);
Rijhulpmiddelenpictogrammen/ waarschuwingslampjes (indien aanwezig,)
Cruise control-/snelheidsbegrenzerinformatie
In het hoofddisplay (Gedeelte C);
Waarschuwingen en alarmsignalen
Boordcomputergegevens

Gebruik de omhoog-omlaag schakelaar om de diverse pagina's in dit hoofdstuk door te bladeren.

Automatisch Start/Stopsysteem informatie
Voertuiginstellingenmenu
Doorloop voor het openen van het instellingenmenu de pagina [Instellingen] met behulp van de schakelaar , en druk vervolgens op de -schakelaar om het menu [Instellingen] te openen.
Druk de schakelaar omhoog of omlaag om het menu te doorlopen en druk op om het gewenste item in het menu te selecteren.
Gebruik eveneens de -schakelaar voor het selecteren/deselecteren van een gemarkeerde functie in de submenu’s.
Druk voor het verlaten van het menu herhaalde malen op de -knop .
In het menu Voertuiginstellingen kunnen de volgende items aan uw wensen worden aangepast.
Rijhulpmiddelen, Bestuurdersalertheid, Verkeerstekens, Parkeerhulpmiddelen, Chassisregeling, Stuurkracht
Klok
Displayinstellingen – Menu-inhoud keuze, Carrosseriekleur, ECO informatie
Voertuiginstellingen – Verlichting, Ruitenwissers, Vergrendeling
Onderhoud – Reparatie, Banden, Overige

Helderheidsregelaar/Dagteller-resetschakelaar
Druk op de — of zijde van de helderheidsregelingschakelaar om de helderheid van het voertuiginformatiedisplay te veranderen.
Druk kort op de TRIP RESET-schakelaar om over te schakelen tussen de twee kilometertellerdisplays voor Dagteller A en Dagteller B.
Houd voor het resetten van Dagteller A of Dagteller B de schakelaar gedurende ongeveer 1 seconde ingedrukt.
Klimaatregeling
Handbediende airconditioning
Voorruit ontdooien/ontwasemen
Druk voor maximale ontwaseming op de voorruitontwasemingsschakelaar .
Het controlelampje in de schakelaar gaat branden.
De airconditioning schakelt automatisch in wanneer de omgevingstemperatuur hoger is dan -2° C en het controlelampje in de airconditioningschakelaar gaat branden.
Draai de aanjagersnelheidsregelaar rechtsom naar een hoge snelheid.
Draai de temperatuurregelaar op een hoge temperatuur.
Zorg dat de luchttoevoermodusschakelaar in de stand voor buitenluchtcirculatie staat.
Het controlelampje in de luchtrecirculatieschakelaar moet uit zijn.
Druk om terug te keren naar de vorige instellingen nogmaals op de voorruitontwasemingsschakelaar .
Automatische airconditioning
Voorruit ontdooien/ontwasemen (AUTO-modus)
Druk op de AUTO-regelknop voor het selecteren van de AUTO-modus: het controlelampje in de regelknop gaat branden.
Druk voor maximale ontwaseming op de voorruitontwasemingsschakelaar .
Het controlelampje in de schakelaar gaat branden.
De airconditioning schakelt automatisch in wanneer de omgevingstemperatuur hoger is dan -2° C en het controlelampje in de airconditioningschakelaar gaat branden.
De luchtrecirculatiemodus schakelt automatisch over naar de toevoer van buitenlucht in het interieur.
Het controlelampje in de luchtrecirculatieknop gaat uit.
Draai de temperatuurregelaar op een hoge temperatuur.
Druk voor snel ontdooien/ontwasemen van de voorruit op de voorruitverwarmingsknop .
Het controlelampje in de schakelaar gaat branden.
Deze wordt na ca. 4 minuten automatisch uitgeschakeld.
DUAL-modus
Met behulp van de DUAL-modus kan de passagier een andere temperatuur selecteren dan die welke door de bestuurder is gekozen.
Druk op de -regelknop voor het selecteren van de DUAL-modus, draai de -regelknop voor het instellen van de afzonderlijke temperatuur.
Ventilatieroosters kunnen afzonderlijk worden geselecteerd om de luchtstroom naar de exacte plaats van uw keuze te richten.
Druk op een van de knoppen (6) voor het selecteren van het gewenste ventilatierooster (het controlelampje gaat branden).
Druk nogmaals in om de luchtstroom naar dit gebied uit te schakelen (controlelampje gaat uit).
Elke willekeurige combinatie van de 3 luchtstroomrichtingen kan naar wens worden gekozen.
Audiosysteem (zonder navigatie)
Druk in om de eenheid AAN/UIT te schakelen, draai voor het afstellen van het volume.
Druk in om het display uit te schakelen terwijl de geselecteerde functies actief blijven.
Druk in voor het selecteren van de radiofrequentieband (AM/FM).
Druk in om de displayverlichting over te schakelen tussen dag/nachtmodus.
Druk in voor het uitwerpen van een CD.
Druk in voor het overschakelen tussen mediabronnen (Tuner, CD, apparatuur aangesloten via de hulpingangen (USB, JACK).
Druk in voor het openen van het telefoonmenu.
Draai voor het handmatig afstemmen op een radiozender of voor het doorlopen van een menu.
Druk in voor het maken van een selectie binnen een menu.
Druk in voor het activeren van de Verkeersinformatiefunctie.
Druk in voor het selecteren van de volgende/vorige radiozender of voor terug te keren naar het vorige track/overslaan van het huidige track op een CD of ander aangesloten medium.
Druk in om het instelmenu binnen te gaan.
Druk in om terug te gaan naar het vorige scherm in het menu.

Gecombineerd audio- en navigatiesysteem (“Nissan Connect”)
Touch screen-weergave.
Druk in om de eenheid AAN/UIT te schakelen, draai voor het afstellen van het volume.
Druk in voor het tonen van de achteruitrij/rondomkijkmonitor.
Druk in voor het selecteren van de volgende/vorige radiozender of voor terug te keren naar het vorige track/overslaan van het huidige track op een CD of ander aangesloten medium.
Druk in voor het overschakelen tussen mediabronnen (CD en apparatuur aangesloten via de hulpingangen JACK, AUX).
Druk in voor het openen van het telefoonmenu.
Druk in voor het overschakelen tussen radiofrequentiebanden (FM1, FM2, DAB (Digitale Audio Uitzending) en AM).
Druk in voor het uitwerpen van een CD.
SD-kaartgleuf (voor navigatiekaarten).
Druk in voor het tonen van de kaart op het scherm.
Druk op NAV voor het selecteren van het navigatiemenu, druk op voor het openen van het INFO-scherm.
Druk op de dag/nacht knop om de helderheid van het display over te schakelen tussen de dag- en nachtmodus.
Druk op de -knop voor het selecteren van het SETUP-menu.
Druk in voor het terugkeren naar een vorig scherm of voor het annuleren van een selectie.
Draai voor een menu of lijst te doorlopen, druk in voor het maken van een keuze binnen een menu.

Uw mobiele telefoon aansluiten via Bluetooth®
Met behulp van Bluetooth® technologie kunt u uw mobiele telefoon verbinden (“koppelen”) met het systeem in het voertuig om hands-free te bellen.

Koppelprocedure (modellen zonder navigatiesysteem)
Op het audio-apparaat:
Druk op de “Telefoon”-knop op het audio-apparaat of het stuurwiel, selecteer [Bluetooth] en druk op ENTER.
Selecteer [Apparaat verbinden] en druk op ENTER.
Op uw mobiele telefoon:
Zorg ervoor dat Bluetooth® ingeschakeld is.
Start het zoeken naar Bluetooth®-apparaten op uw mobiele telefoon.
Wanneer uw mobiele telefoon het voertuigsysteem herkent, zal u gevraagd worden :- de PIN-code (0000) in te voeren- een wachtwoord in te voeren zoals getoond op het display.
Na het invoeren van de PIN-code of het wachtwoord is de koppelprocedure voltooid.
De eerstvolgende keer dat u het contact inschakelt, zal de eenheid automatisch verbinding maken met uw mobiele telefoon.

Brontekst - Engels Manual transmission models: depress the clutch pedal and move the shift lever to the N (Neutral) position.X-Tronic transmission models: depress the brake pedal and move the shift lever to the P (Park) or N (Neutral) position.
Push the push button ignition switch to stop the engine.
The ignition switch will now be in the OFF position.
After opening the door, the ignition switch position will change from the OFF to the LOCK position and the steering lock will be activated.
Auto Accessory
To improve convenience, the ignition switch no longer has a separate “Acc” (Accessory) position.
Audio and Navigation systems can be switched on without having to insert the key or to push the start button.
After switching off the engine, you can also continue to listen to audio.
The system will switch off automatically after a short time to save the vehicle battery.
To continue listening to audio for a longer period of time, switch the ignition ON and OFF again.
Headlamps and Wipers
Auto Light System
Turn the light switch to the AUTO position.
The headlamps will turn on and off automatically depending on the exterior light conditions.
Auto High-Low Beam Switching
When the Auto High-Low beam system is enabled, the headlamps will automatically switch between high and low beam depending on traffic conditions and street lighting.
To enable the Auto High-Low beam system, push the stalk away from you while the light switch is in the AUTO position.
The Auto High-Low beam indicator light in the combimeter will illuminate to show that the system is enabled.
To return to manual high beam control, turn the light switch to the position.
Friendly Lighting
With the ignition in the LOCK position, pull the light stalk towards you once; the headlamps will come on for approx. 30 seconds and then switch off automatically.
Pull the stalk more than once to increase the time that the headlamps will stay on.
Welcome Lighting
Welcome lighting can be set ON or OFF through the [Settings] menu in the vehicle information display.
When set to ON, front and rear interior lamps will come on for 30 seconds after unlocking.
They will also stay on for 10 seconds after locking.
Auto Wipe System
Set the windscreen wiper stalk to the AUTO position; the wipers will now automatically start operating when rain is detected on the windscreen.
Adjust the sensitivity of the rain sensing system by rotating the wiper switch ring as indicated:
= more sensitive,
= less sensitive.
Electric Parking Brake
The electric parking brake switch is located at the front of the centre console as illustrated.
To apply the parking brake, pull up the switch; the indicator light in the switch will illuminate.
To release the parking brake, push the brake pedal, then push the parking brake switch down; the indicator light will turn off.
The electric parking brake has an auto apply and release function.
Manual Transmission Vehicles:
The parking brake will automatically apply when you switch the ignition off and will automatically release when you drive away using the accelerator pedal.
X-Tronic Transmission Vehicles:
The parking brake does not apply automatically.
If applied manually, the parking brake will automatically release when you push the accelerator pedal while the selector lever is either in the “D” or “R” position and provided that you are wearing your seat belt.
Hill Start Assist
The Hill Start Assist (HSA) system automatically keeps the brakes applied for 2 seconds to prevent the vehicle from rolling as you start to drive away on a hill.
Hill Start Assist will operate automatically under the following conditions:
The shift lever is shifted into a forward (vehicle facing uphill) or reverse gear (vehicle facing downhill),
The vehicle is stopped completely on a hill by applying the foot brake.
The slope is greater than 3 degrees
If the slope is steep enough to activate the HSA system, the green HSA indicator light in the combimeter will illuminate.
Steering Wheel Controls
Audio & Menu Control Switches
Back Press to return to a previous screen on the vehicle information display.
ENTER Push the switch upwards or downwards to scroll through menus and lists on the vehicle information display.
Press the switch to confirm or enter a selection.
In Audio mode, use the button to change the audio input source.
In trip computer mode, use the button to scroll through trip computer (trip and fuel economy) data.
Seek-Track Tuner mode - to seek previous/next broadcasting station (short press is manual seek, long press is automatic search).
MEDIA/AUX mode - Shortly press the button to return to previous track or skip current track on CD or other device connected via the auxiliary inputs.
Press longer than 1.5 seconds to fast forward or reverse through the track being played.
Volume /- Push to increase/decrease the audio volume.
Vehicle Information Display
The Vehicle Information Display is located centrally between the tachometer and speedometer.
The display provides a lot of useful information and also allows you to customise your vehicle settings, using switches and on the left hand side of the steering wheel.

Vehicle Settings Menu
To access the settings menu, scroll through to the [Settings] page using switch , then press the switch to access the [Settings] menu.
Push switch up or down to scroll through the menu and press to select the desired item from the menu.
Use the switch as well to select/deselect a highlighted function in the sub-menu’s.
To leave the menu, repeatedly press the button .

Brightness Control/Trip Reset Switch
Push the — or side of the brightness control switch to change the brightness of the vehicle information display.
Shortly push the TRIP RESET switch to switch between the twin trip odometer display for Trip A and Trip B.
Push the switch for approximately 1 second to reset the Trip A or Trip B odometer.
Climate Control
Manual Air Conditioner
Defrosting/Demisting the windscreen
For maximum demisting performance, push the windshield windscreen demisting switch .
The indicator light in the switch will illuminate.
The air conditioner will automatically turn on when the ambient temperature is above -2° C and the indicator light in the A/C switch will illuminate.
Turn the fan speed control dial clockwise to a high fan speed position.
Turn the temperature control dial to a high temperature position.
Make sure the air intake mode switch is switched to outside air circulation.
The indicator light in the air recirculation switch should be off.
To return to the previous settings, press the winschield defogger switch again.
Automatic Air conditioner
Defrosting/Demisting the windscreen (AUTO mode)
Push the AUTO dial to select AUTO mode: the indicator light in the dial will illuminate.
For maximum demisting performance, push the windshield windscreen demisting switch .
The indicator light in the switch will illuminate.
The air conditioner will automatically turn on when the ambient temperature is above -2° C and the indicator light in the A/C switch will illuminate.
The air recirculation mode will automatically switch to outside air being drawn into the interior.
The indicator light in the air recirculation button will be off.
Turn the temperature control dial to a high temperature position.
For quick defrosting/windscreen demisting press the heated windscreen button .
The indicator light in the switch will illuminate.
It will turn off automatically after approximately 4 minutes.
DUAL Mode
DUAL mode enables the passenger to select a different temperature from the temperature selected by the driver.
Press the dial to select DUAL mode, turn the control dial to set the individual temperature.
Airflow outlets can be individually selected to direct the flow of air to the exact location of your choice.
Push one of the buttons (6) to select the desired airflow outlet (the indicator light will illuminate).
Push again to turn off airflow to this area (indicator light will turn off).
Any combination of the 3 airflow directions can be selected as desired.
Audio System (Without Navigation)
Press to switch unit ON/OFF, turn to adjust volume.
Press to switch off the display while selected functions remain active.
Press to select radio band (AM/FM).
Press to switch between day/night illumination of display.
Press to eject a CD.
Press to switch between media sources (Tuner, CD, devices connected via auxiliary inputs (USB, JACK).
Press to enter telephone menu.
Turn to manually tune into a broadcasting station or step through a menu.
Press to enter a selection within a menu.
Press to activate Traffic Announcement function.
Press to select next/previous broadcasting station or return to previous track/skip current track on a CD or other medium connected.
Press to enter the setup menu.
Press to return to the previous screen in the menu.

Press to switch the unit ON/OFF, turn to adjust the volume.

Press to switch between media sources (CD and devices connected via auxiliary inputs (JACK, AUX).
Press to access telephone menu.

Vertaling - Nederlands Modellen met handgeschakelde versnellingsbak: trap het koppelingspedaal in en verplaats de versnellingshendel naar de stand N (Neutraal).Modellen met X-Tronic transmissie: trap het rempedaal in en verplaats de versnellingshendel naar de stand P (Parkeren) of N (Neutraal).
Duw op de contactdrukknop om de motor stop te zetten.
Het contactslot staat nu in de stand OFF.
Na het openen van het portier verandert de stand van het contactslot van OFF naar LOCK en wordt het stuurslot geactiveerd.
Automatische accessoirestand
Voor meer bedieningsgemak heeft het contactslot niet langer een aparte “Acc” (Accessoire) stand.
Audio- en navigatiesystemen kunnen worden ingeschakeld zonder de sleutel te hoeven insteken of de startknop in te drukken.
Ook na het stopzetten van de motor kunt u naar audio blijven luisteren.
Na een korte tijd wordt het systeem automatisch uitgeschakeld om de accu te sparen.
Om gedurende langere tijd naar audio te kunnen blijven luisteren, het contact op ON en weer op OFF zetten.
Koplampen en ruitenwissers
Automatisch verlichtingssysteem
Draai de verlichtingsschakelaar naar de stand AUTO.
De koplampen zullen automatisch aan en uit gaan afhankelijk van de verlichtingstoestand van de omgeving.
Automatische overschakeling grootlicht-dimlicht
Wanneer het systeem van automatisch grootlicht-dimlicht is geactiveerd, schakelen de koplampen automatisch over tussen grootlicht en dimlicht, afhankelijk van de verkeerssituatie en de wegverlichting.
Duw voor het activeren van het systeem van automatisch grootlicht-dimlicht de hendel van u af terwijl de verlichtingsschakelaar in de stand AUTO staat.
Het automatisch grootlicht-dimlicht controlelampje in de combinatiemeter gaat branden om aan te geven dat het systeem geactiveerd is.
Draai om terug te keren naar handmatige grootlichtbediening de verlichtingsschakelaar naar de stand .
Friendly Lighting (bijlichtfunctie)
Trek terwijl het contactslot in de stand LOCK staat de verlichtingshendel eenmaal naar u toe; de koplampen gaan gedurende ongeveer 30 seconden branden en worden dan automatisch uitgeschakeld.
Trek meerdere malen aan de hendel om de koplampen langer te laten branden.
Instapverlichting
De instapverlichting kan via het menu [Instellingen] in het voertuiginformatiedisplay op AAN of UIT ingesteld worden.
Wanneer AAN is ingesteld, zullen de voorste en achterste interieurlampen na ontgrendeling gedurende 30 seconden gaan branden.
Deze zullen ook na vergrendeling gedurende 10 seconden blijven branden.
Automatische ruitenwissers
Zet de voorruitenwisserhendel in de stand AUTO; wanneer regen op de voorruit wordt bespeurd, zullen de ruitenwissers automatisch beginnen te werken.
Stel de gevoeligheid van de regensensor in door aan de ring van de ruitenwisserschakelaar te draaien, zoals aangegeven:
= hogere gevoeligheid,
= lagere gevoeligheid.
Elektrische parkeerrem
De elektrische parkeerremschakelaar bevindt zich aan voorzijde van de middenconsole zoals afgebeeld.
Voor het aantrekken van de parkeerrem, de schakelaar omhoog trekken; het controlelampje in de schakelaar gaat branden.
Voor het vrijzetten van de parkeerrem, het rempedaal indrukken en vervolgens de parkeerremschakelaar omlaag duwen; het controlelampje gaat uit.
De elektrische parkeerrem heeft een automatische aantrek- en vrijzetfunctie.
Voertuigen met handgeschakelde versnellingsbak:
De parkeerrem wordt automatisch aangetrokken wanneer u het contact uitschakelt en wordt automatisch vrijgezet wanneer u wegrijdt met gebruik van het gaspedaal.
Voertuigen met X-Tronic transmissie:
De parkeerrem wordt niet automatisch aangetrokken.
Als de parkeerrem handmatig is aangetrokken, wordt deze automatisch vrijgezet wanneer u het gaspedaal intrapt terwijl de keuzehendel in de stand "D" of "R" staat en mits u uw veiligheidsgordel draagt.
Hellingstarthulp
Het Hellingstarthulpsysteem (HSA) houdt de remmen gedurende 2 seconden aangetrokken om te voorkomen dat het voertuig gaat rollen wanneer u op een helling begint weg te rijden.
De Hellingstarthulp werkt automatisch onder de volgende omstandigheden:
De versnellingshendel in een vooruitversnelling (voertuig hellingopwaarts gericht) of achteruitversnelling (voertuig hellingafwaarts gericht) wordt gezet,
De auto met behulp van de voetrem op een helling volledig wordt stopgezet.
De helling steiler is dan 3 graden
Als de helling steil genoeg is om het HSA-systeem te activeren, gaat het groene HSA-controlelampje in de combinatiemeter branden.
Bedieningen op het stuurwiel
Audio- en menubedieningsschakelaars
Back Indrukken om terug te gaan naar een vorig scherm op het voertuiginformatiedisplay.
ENTER Duw de schakelaar omhoog of omlaag om door de menu's en lijsten op het voertuiginformatiedisplay te bladeren.
Druk op de schakelaar voor het bevestigen of invoeren van een selectie.
Gebruik in de audiomodus de -knop voor het veranderen van de audioingangsbron.
Gebruik in de boordcomputermodus de -knop om door de boordcomputergegevens (rit en brandstofverbruik) te bladeren.
Seek-Track Tuner modus - voor het opzoeken van de vorige/volgende radiozender (kort indrukken is handmatig zoeken, lang indrukken is automatisch zoeken).
MEDIA/AUX-modus - Druk de knop kort in om terug te keren naar het vorige track of voor het overslaan van het huidige track op de CD of ander apparaat dat aangesloten is op de hulpingangen.
Houd langer dan 1,5 seconde ingedrukt om snelvooruit te spoelen of het track dat wordt afgespeeld terug te spoelen.
Volume /- Indrukken om het audiovolume te verhogen of te verlagen.
Voertuiginformatiedisplay
Het voertuiginformatiedisplay bevindt zich in het midden tussen de toerenteller en de snelheidsmeter.
Het display geeft veel nuttige informatie en u kunt de instellingen van uw voertuig naar voorkeur wijzigen met behulp van de schakelaars en op de linkerzijde van het stuurwiel.
Het voertuiginformatiedisplay kan de volgende informatie geven:
In het bovenste display (Gedeelte A);
Klok – 12u of 24u formaat
Verkeerstekenherkenning (indien aanwezig, )
Buitentemperatuur
In de 2de display van boven (Gedeelte B);

Voertuiginstellingenmenu
Doorloop voor het openen van het instellingenmenu de pagina [Instellingen] met behulp van de schakelaar , en druk vervolgens op de -schakelaar om het menu [Instellingen] te openen.
Druk de schakelaar omhoog of omlaag om het menu te doorlopen en druk op om het gewenste item in het menu te selecteren.
Gebruik eveneens de -schakelaar voor het selecteren/deselecteren van een gemarkeerde functie in de submenu’s.
Druk voor het verlaten van het menu herhaalde malen op de -knop .
In het menu Voertuiginstellingen kunnen de volgende items aan uw wensen worden aangepast.
Rijhulpmiddelen, Bestuurdersalertheid, Verkeerstekens, Parkeerhulpmiddelen, Chassisregeling, Stuurkracht

Helderheidsregelaar/Dagteller-resetschakelaar
Druk op de — of zijde van de helderheidsregelingschakelaar om de helderheid van het voertuiginformatiedisplay te veranderen.
Druk kort op de TRIP RESET-schakelaar om over te schakelen tussen de twee kilometertellerdisplays voor Dagteller A en Dagteller B.
Houd voor het resetten van Dagteller A of Dagteller B de schakelaar gedurende ongeveer 1 seconde ingedrukt.
Klimaatregeling
Handbediende airconditioning
Voorruit ontdooien/ontwasemen
Druk voor maximale ontwaseming op de voorruitontwasemingsschakelaar .
Het controlelampje in de schakelaar gaat branden.
De airconditioning schakelt automatisch in wanneer de omgevingstemperatuur hoger is dan -2° C en het controlelampje in de airconditioningschakelaar gaat branden.
Draai de aanjagersnelheidsregelaar rechtsom naar een hoge snelheid.
Draai de temperatuurregelaar op een hoge temperatuur.
Zorg dat de luchttoevoermodusschakelaar in de stand voor buitenluchtcirculatie staat.
Het controlelampje in de luchtrecirculatieschakelaar moet uit zijn.
Druk om terug te keren naar de vorige instellingen nogmaals op de voorruitontwasemingsschakelaar .
Automatische airconditioning
Voorruit ontdooien/ontwasemen (AUTO-modus)
Druk op de AUTO-regelknop voor het selecteren van de AUTO-modus: het controlelampje in de regelknop gaat branden.
Druk voor maximale ontwaseming op de voorruitontwasemingsschakelaar .
Het controlelampje in de schakelaar gaat branden.
De airconditioning schakelt automatisch in wanneer de omgevingstemperatuur hoger is dan -2° C en het controlelampje in de airconditioningschakelaar gaat branden.
De luchtrecirculatiemodus schakelt automatisch over naar de toevoer van buitenlucht in het interieur.
Het controlelampje in de luchtrecirculatieknop gaat uit.
Draai de temperatuurregelaar op een hoge temperatuur.
Druk voor snel ontdooien/ontwasemen van de voorruit op de voorruitverwarmingsknop .
Het controlelampje in de schakelaar gaat branden.
Deze wordt na ca. 4 minuten automatisch uitgeschakeld.
DUAL-modus
Met behulp van de DUAL-modus kan de passagier een andere temperatuur selecteren dan die welke door de bestuurder is gekozen.
Druk op de -regelknop voor het selecteren van de DUAL-modus, draai de -regelknop voor het instellen van de afzonderlijke temperatuur.
Ventilatieroosters kunnen afzonderlijk worden geselecteerd om de luchtstroom naar de exacte plaats van uw keuze te richten.
Druk op een van de knoppen (6) voor het selecteren van het gewenste ventilatierooster (het controlelampje gaat branden).
Druk nogmaals in om de luchtstroom naar dit gebied uit te schakelen (controlelampje gaat uit).
Elke willekeurige combinatie van de 3 luchtstroomrichtingen kan naar wens worden gekozen.
Audiosysteem (zonder navigatie)
Druk in om de eenheid AAN/UIT te schakelen, draai voor het afstellen van het volume.
Druk in om het display uit te schakelen terwijl de geselecteerde functies actief blijven.
Druk in voor het selecteren van de radiofrequentieband (AM/FM).

Druk in voor het selecteren van de volgende/vorige radiozender of voor terug te keren naar het vorige track/overslaan van het huidige track op een CD of ander aangesloten medium.
Druk in om het instelmenu binnen te gaan.
Druk in om terug te gaan naar het vorige scherm in het menu.
Voorkeuzezenderknoppen 1-6, REPEAT tracks, MIX tracks en tekens invoeren.
