I specialise in translating for the wine industry and work on projects from the
tourism, retail, and e-commerce industries.

I am also interested in and like to work on projects about sustainability, sports, namely
rugby, and food and drink.

I regularly translate marketing documents, product descriptions, articles, and
corporate communications.

My translation and editing work is aided by Trados Studio 2021.

My translation journey started with obtaining a BA in Modern Languages,
Translation and Interpreting from Swansea University, Wales. I have backed up
the knowledge and skills I gained there by working in the translation industry
after graduating.

Before becoming a freelance translator, I worked in-house at a US/German translation
agency in Cologne, Germany. The role taught me a lot, and I continue to use the
skills that I gained there.

Continuous learning and keeping up with industry developments is important to me. This is
why I regularly attend webinars and courses related to my work. Additionally, I
became an associated member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI) in August
2021.

As a translator and a linguist, learning never ceases.

Je suis traductrice et réviseuse du français et de l’allemand vers l’anglais.

Mon travail quotidien consiste à traduire et réviser des documents de marketing, des
descriptions de produit, des communiqués de presse et des articles.

J’effectue aussi des projets de transcréation et de relecture.

Je me suis spécialisée en traduction œnologie et travaille régulièrement dans le but
d’aider les entreprises à faire découvrir leurs produits et leurs vignobles aux
anglophones.

Je traduis des projets dans les domaines du tourisme, du sport, de la vente et du
cybercommerce.

Je m'intéresse également aux projets concernant la durabilité, le sport, notamment
la Formule 1 et le rugby, et l'alimentation.

En août 2021, je suis devenue membre associée de l’Institute of Translation and Interpreting
(ITI). Etre membre de ITI signifie, entre autres, que je travaille toujours
avec des projets qui conviennent à mes compétences et n’accepterai pas de
projets qui sont en dehors de mon expertise.

Avant de lancer mon entreprise, j'ai travaillé pour une agence de traduction
germano-américaine en Allemagne.

Ma licence en traduction vient de Swansea University. Bien que j’aie été diplômée en 2018,
l’apprentissage est encore une partie majeure de ma vie.

Französisch-Englisch.

Ich biete auch Korrektorat der englisch-geschriebenen Texten, Post-Editing und
Transkreation an.

Im Alltag übersetzte und bearbeite ich Projekt aus verscheiden Branche. Mein
Spezialgebiet ist Wein und ich arbeite auch mit Projekten von der Tourismus-,
Lebensmittel-, Einzelhandelsbranchen.

Ich interessiere mich auch auf Projekt über die Themen Nachhaltigkeit und Sport
nämlich Rugby und Formel Eins.

Die meisten Texte, die ich bekomme, sind Pressemitteilungen, Produktbeschreibungen,
Marketingdokumente und Artikeln.

SDL Trados Studio 2021 ist meine Lieblingsübersetzungssoftware.

Seit August 2021 bin ich Mitglied des britischen Institute of Translation and
Interpreting (ITI). Das heißt, dass ich bestätige, dass ich immer zu meiner
Starken arbeite und sagen wäre, falls ein Projekt nicht mit meinen Fähigkeiten
passt, dass ich nie Online-Übersetzungstools wie Google Translate benutze, und
dass ich meine hochqualitative Arbeit beibehalte, unter anderem.

Vor ich meine eigene Firma gegründet habe, habe ich in Köln gewohnt. Dort habe ich als
Übersetzerin, Redakteurin und Projektleiterin bei einer amerikanischen/deutschen
Übersetzungsagentur gearbeitet. 

In dieser Stelle habe ich die Fähigkeiten, die ich bei meinem Studium an der Universität
Swansea erworben habe, weiterentwickelt und eine größere Kenntnis der
Übersetzungsindustrie gewonnen.
