After 10 years as a technical translator I was offered a job as coordinator on a localization project. I accepted and ended up working for 22 years for this company. Though translation and interpretation were part of the job profile, through the years I had quite a few opportunities to get intensive training in certain business areas. I regained my former status as freelance translator in 2012. The following are examples of subjects of specialization, which allow me to backup theory with practical know-how.

2. Software implementation (several major SAP implementation projects)
3. Compliance and internal control (including implementation of SOX controls and testing procedures)
