peer agreement (net): -1| anti-scatter grid (ik weet de echte term niet) anti-stralinggrid Explanation: The anti-scatter grid has been used in radiography because it keeps the scattered radiation from entering the image formed field. The focused grid, which is a kind of the anti-scatter grid, can reduce the scattered radiation in the large field. However, it is necessary to set the focused grid correctly. If the focused grid is set on the misplacement, owing to the grid, much of the primary radiation is reduced. As we described, there are three kinds of the misplacement of the focused grid, a lateral decentering, an inclined grid, and the source out of the focused distance. We used the grid exposure factor and the contrast improvement factor to indicate the performance of the focused grid. The grid exposure factor is associated with the exposure dose of the object. And the contrast improvement factor is associated with the image contrast. Through studying the focused grid with the computer simulation using Monte Carlo methods, we report the influence of the misplacement of the focused grid on the performance.
