Hi, I am new here and I have submitted some quotes to the clients. But I haven't got any feedback, I don't know if they will give me feed back or not. How do you get your job from Proz?

Heather,
1) Easy way, bid with $0.02/sw, that would get you into all the agencies from Bambay to Britain.
2) Hard way, submit 10 free sample translations of 10 pages each, and you may be able to get something like a one page job, due tomorrow. Maybe, OK.
Others will give you more advice but that's all I can give. Remember, you are here to learn, not to earn. When you think that way, it is not so bad after all. A free learning experience is what makes this site great for many individuals. But if you are here to fight, it will be a waste of time, because you don't even see the one you want to fight, so it does not hurt him or her at all. The only one hurt is you.

By the way, if you are serious about getting a job here, start with a good self-introduction personal page. Also important are your posts and anything that you put up on this site, especially your English posts. I make mistakes all the time when chatting in Chinese, sometimes intentionally to have fun. But you should check spelling and use correct grammar including case and everything when posting in English, because that is the only way potential clients judge your ability to translate. Your question should have started with a CAPITAL letter "How" instead of "how." Small details like that does not make a difference to your fellow translators when you are chatting with your friends here, but it does make a big difference to the ones who want to try you out.

Kevin,
I think only you can correct a title once a topic is posted. Would you please help her correct the grammar mistake in the title.

If you are really good in translating from English into Chinese and vice versa, don't worry about the biddings. There will be some clients who just come to you with proper rate for you.
O.02 is not offered for serious agencies. Those who offer you 0.02 $ you can just forget about them, if you know that you can do jobs right.

chance,
